Lets talk about Dave Bolland

After another awful performance by our #2 C it is time to discuss Bolland's season

25 games this year he has 5 goals + 7 assists and is-4 as our #2 C spending most of his time between Sharp/Kane

- 16 games he has failed to register a point (64% of his games played)
- Has 1 goal in last 15 games
- 45% at faceoffs after tonight

Will the Hawks continue to pretend that Bolland is #2 C?

theaub 03-25-2013 09:50 PM

Imagine how many points Kane would have if he didn't play with two stiffs.

DisgruntledHawkFan 03-25-2013 09:51 PM

Right after you talk about the Euro fodder that is Viktor Stalberg

Trance Kuja 03-25-2013 09:51 PM

Did Bolland even win a faceoff tonight? It was hard to tell, because I was flustered the entire game because of him. I want him gone, away from Kane. His performance was embarrassing.

The Frenchman 03-25-2013 09:51 PM

wait are you suggesting we need a second line center?

Atomic Punk 03-25-2013 09:51 PM

He is getting the good old boy treatment by the coaching staff. Playing poorly and still on second line. Overrated by select fans that keep remembering 2010.

It didn't feel like that much at all.

Not bad for going up against an elite player like Kopitar.

And 2008-09, 2010-11, and 2011-12.

The problem is fans like you that pretend Bolland's only had one good stretch with Chicago.

Blackhawkswincup 03-25-2013 09:54 PM

Bolland was not good in playoffs last year Hoss

HawksFan74 03-25-2013 09:55 PM

Bolland has been bad for nearly a year now, including playoffs.

Did I say the playoffs? He was good in each of those regular seasons, the playoffs were just a bonus in 08-09 and 10-11. No one was good for Chicago in the playoffs last year.

here we go

all we need is coldsteel to re-start his "Fire Bowman" thread, the "Fire Queenville" thread to be bumped, and people to start raging about Kruger and it's spring 2012 all over again. :shakehead

He was not good last year in regular season

Was poor defensively all year and MIA long stretches offensively

Are you ****ing kidding me?

He spent the majority of the season with a struggling Bickell, struggling Frolik, terribad Brunnette and rookies Shaw/Hayes and still scored 19 goals and 37 points.

So now he spends it with a possible MVP and still blows? What is you r point besides being an apologist for his poor play.

How did he "blow" last year? He carried whoever he played with. God people on these boards are unbelievable.

What have you done for me lately Bolland? Not much. Alright, well, lets completely forget about your track record and post-season pedigree, and ship you off for Mike Riberio.

Trance Kuja 03-25-2013 10:06 PM

Bolland has been awful, but he was quite good last season. That doesn't make up for how bad he has been, though.

What does Bollands play in past have to offer the Hawks now?

He is awful this year and Ribiero would be major ugprade over him in top 6 without question if somehow he was acquired

You seem unable to admit that Bolland has been awful this year and is a major blackhole in #2 C spot

Trance Kuja 03-25-2013 10:16 PM

Honestly, I'd rather have Kruger as the #2 center than Bolland. At least he's a try-hard.

ndgt10 03-25-2013 10:17 PM

It would take Bolland + to get Ribiero. And that would need to be a pretty big +

deytookerjaabs 03-25-2013 10:20 PM

I'd rather Pirri get a shot at 2C and Bolland at 4C.

I'm literally about to pull my hair out

This team does not struggle to score goals. Bolland will turn his game around. Why so many fans on this board are turning on a guy that's done nothing but excell in this organziation is beyond me, and frankly, if you want to trade Bolland this season, you should turn in your Blackhawks fan card.

Bolland is a warrior and he's always played above and beyond his linemates. He hasn't been great this year, in 20-something games. Uh, hmm, err, who gives a flying ****? The team is on top of the NHL standings and as I've already said, any Blackhawks fans with half a brain should know that Bolland always brings his best in the playoffs and shouldn't doubt that he'll turn his game around. For **** sakes.
