Hawks vs Ducks 3/29

If the Hawks win they'll be up 7 points, 8 points if you consider we have the ROW tie breaker. The Ducks will have 14 games left and the Hawks will have 15 games left. If the Hawks were to go 8-7 over the last 15, they'll end up with 71 points (and the tiebreaker). In order to get to 72 points, the Ducks would have to go 12-2.

coldsteelonice84 03-28-2013 11:18 AM

It's a big game. The Ducks have had our number and we don't want them getting anymore confidence against the Hawks.

ItsMyFault 03-28-2013 04:41 PM

This is definitely a big game. They've beaten us twice now, and they're also on a 4 game losing streak coming it. We have to win this one.

Trance Kuja 03-28-2013 04:55 PM

Huge game. Hawks need this one.

TorMenT 03-28-2013 05:10 PM

That's my biggest pet peeve. When people say things like "we need to win this one".

Bubba88 03-28-2013 05:21 PM

if we want to win the conference, this game would help us big time ;)

ralph0226 03-28-2013 06:37 PM

Need to be able to beat the elite teams to compete in the playoffs.

The Hawks don't necessarily need to win this game, but it would be a big confidence booster. The Ducks are one of the few teams who have outplayed the Hawks so far

If by outplayed you mean 'the Ducks are one of the few teams the Hawks have given games away to late after outplaying them' then yes.

Haha I knew someone was going to say that. I meant their 2-0-0 record against Chicago this year.

CPHawksFan 03-29-2013 02:19 AM

We have to beat these guys at least once!

committedindian86 03-29-2013 07:30 AM

Only my 4th game of the year so far I'm 3-0-0, hopefully the streak continues

If "having our number" means a SO loss and a 5 minute bad stint at the end of a game, then I'll take it. Way to overreact.

MadhouseOnMadison 03-29-2013 09:02 AM

Hawks have proven twice now that they can't put this team away so I wouldn't be surprised if they lost out on another 2 pts tonight.

I'm convinced Anaheim is the only team in the West that can and will beat us in a 7 game series.

Yeah, big overreaction, way for you to overreact.

I think Anaheim and LA could do it. The good news is that the Hawks likely won't play either in the first round.

Ducks or Kings.

Yes, the 2 points would be nice, (especially if we want to be #1 in the West) but psychologically this team needs this win against Ducks.

Any team can win in the West. I think last year's POs reinforced that. Thanks to the great start, Q and team have the advantage over most of the West to prepare for post season.

Ilrider 03-29-2013 11:25 AM

Emery in goal tonight.

coldsteelonice84 03-29-2013 11:54 AM

Need to see if Razor can handle the good teams, good move.

I agree.

RFIP 03-29-2013 05:55 PM

What's the word on Hossa and Sharp?

Crazy_Ike 03-29-2013 07:25 PM

Just roll four lines and let things fall where they may. Hawks aren't playing for much anymore anyways for the next month.
