Rayzor Burns: A Collection of Rob Ray's finest phrases

I think it's time we start to collect the incoherent phrases, names, sayings, descriptions, and other verbiage that Ray spews out during broadcasts. I've taken the liberty of starting the collection. PLEASE feel free to add.

Can't believe that was omitted. That's patented.

cybresabre 03-29-2013 12:36 AM

The guys did a "greet job" down low.
---
I was beginning to think that he was trying to slip as much innuendo into his comments as possible, but I doubt his deadpan is that good.

Ness 03-29-2013 03:56 AM

Steve Nash.

Paxon 03-29-2013 03:57 AM

Needs more Greg O'Renko

SECRET SQUIRREL 03-29-2013 04:32 AM

When describing anything...."he did a nice job." I swear he will say it 150 times a game, drives me nuts. Also, does anyone else notice how awkward RJ responds to Ray at times?

Zip15 03-29-2013 04:47 AM

"Miller seen that shot from the point..."

This is one of my favorites. West side Italian grammar in a Canadian, Rob Ray accent. It's beautiful.

aceface33 03-29-2013 07:00 AM

"We're going to show you right here"

Radio audience looks around for what Rob Ray is showing them, drives car off road.

Zip15 03-29-2013 07:18 AM

From the first Devils game when Rayzor and RJ struggled big time with Andrei Loktionov:

Andrei Litiniov
Andrei Loktineeov

HockeyH3aven 03-29-2013 08:13 AM

Quote:

"they played good"
Heard that at the end of last nights game. Also:

Quote:

"Tomas Kopecky (its pronounced Kopetski)"

After almost every goal against the Sabres:
"Miller had no chance"

Dale Cooper 03-29-2013 09:16 AM

I think we need JBuds phonetic spelling from the GDT predictions to accuratley transcribe some of what he's really saying...

I kind of want to start timing his sentences...some of them go on FOR EVER...

When this thread is done someone has to send a link to Ted Black...we need to get Duff in the booth full-time.

UncleBenny 03-29-2013 09:17 AM

I'm a big fan of when someone "addresses the situation"

More player names:

Nathan Gerbay

and my favorite, the Irishman:

Greg O'Renko

Poor guy has taken one too many punches to the head.

I actually have a script for that in game day chat... (read: more of you need to join the game day chat ;) )

Sabres Fan UK 03-29-2013 09:54 AM

"Nathan gerbaay"

^oops i see someone else beat me to it.

Should be good if he has to attempt Zemgus Girgensons or Jerome Gauthier Leduc.

Timbo Slice 03-29-2013 10:23 AM

He honestly sounds drunk  Or waaaayyy too stupid to be doing an NHL broadcast....

Tapu Coco 03-29-2013 11:26 AM

I distinctly remember Rayzor's Galchenyuk butcher as "Galchenkov"

Galchenyuk+Volchenkov=...

Edit: after looking through my posts, I also found him calling Colin Greening "Greenberg"

Maybe Rayzor reads those posts and tries to pronounce them that way
