Why? Season is over? Let the kids play.

Stranger Danger 03-30-2013 12:18 PM

Need bodies, even if only half competent ones, too play.

JVR21 03-30-2013 12:19 PM

It's basically Huskins for free. Can't complain. Nothing has changed.

sa cyred 03-30-2013 12:19 PM

Homer/Lavy dont like to let the kids play.

snoop88 03-30-2013 12:21 PM

former stanley cup champion?

classic homer trade

OriginJM 03-30-2013 12:21 PM

oh god does this mean we're still going for it

orange is better 03-30-2013 12:21 PM

Husky should help the tank quite nicely. Dude is a traffic cone.

CanadianFlyer88 03-30-2013 12:21 PM

Completely unnecessary.

*conditional. Free, essentially, since we won't be making the playoffs and he won't be resigning here.

FlyingPhilly 03-30-2013 12:23 PM

Why? I don't understand. Is this to have enough d-men to ice? Just bring up someone from the Phantoms instead of adding another contract spot. :help:

SolidSnakeUS 03-30-2013 12:26 PM

At least its a 7th for next year...

GoneFullHextall 03-30-2013 12:26 PM

even if it is for a conditional 7th next season this really wasnt necessary. Let the kids play

What kids?

sa cyred 03-30-2013 12:29 PM

Whats the point of getting him though? I think Foster might be better then him.

snoop88 03-30-2013 12:29 PM

if this guy sucks as much as i think he does, then this might actually be a shrewd move by Homer.

People have to understand we don't have many "kids" to call up, our minor league system is atrocious.

adding another pylon might be wise for the tank.

FLYguy3911 03-30-2013 12:29 PM

Takes up a contract too I guess.

MiamiScreamingEagles 03-30-2013 12:30 PM

Detroit got DeKeyser, the college FA defenseman, too, yesterday.

Laudisen and Gus? Unless you think Huskins is better... which you would be wrong. There is a reason why Huskins barely played for the Wings and they gave him away for nothing.

Flukeshot 03-30-2013 12:31 PM

Body with a pulse and with an expiring contract... Works for me.

Blackhawkswincup 03-30-2013 12:35 PM

Eh, I dont think that's a sure thing at all. Lavy and Homer really like the vets.

Psuhockey 03-30-2013 12:39 PM

Maybe the Flyers plan on trading a defensemen at the deadline that is currently playing.........it could happen.
