Regehr to Anaheim

Hey Sabres fans, I'll make this short and sweet... If Anaheim wanted to take Regehr off Buffalo's hands, what would it take? Would a 2nd/3rd + mid level prospect, be able to get it done?

AngelDuck 03-30-2013 07:40 PM

Karlsson (very good looking prospect, great playmaking from a 19 year old in SEL, good two-way player) and a 3rd would be my offer from Anaheim

I was thinking more along the lines of Smith-Pelly. I'd like to keep Karlsson, if we could.

Crymson 03-30-2013 08:03 PM

Regehr isn't so great anymore.

TOML 03-30-2013 08:19 PM

Not sure if Anaheim even needs him unless Allen goes down.

Duck Off 03-30-2013 08:21 PM

Has his play dropped that much?

is the answer jesus 03-30-2013 08:33 PM

Anaheim has a few prospects I'd be interested in if we were to trade Regehr. I like Smith-Pelly and Kerdiles a lot and although I know little about Karlsson he sounds like the type of player I'd be interested in accquiring.

I recall DSP's stock being sky-high last season. What happened?

Ron C. 03-30-2013 08:43 PM

The starting price is a low 1st.

Allen's been pretty bad.

 How many 2013 1st round picks do you see being moved right now?

Nothing really, he's just kind of had a sophomore slump. He's been in the AHL most of the year, and he's just not as valuable as some other prospects.

I really have no idea how good Regehr is these days... some people say he's worth a 1st, while others say he's been kind of bad, so I really have no idea.

How many shutdown defensemen do you see being moved right now?

Fair enough. And yeah, Karlsson/DSP + 2nd/3rd is pretty ballpark.

duxfan8 03-30-2013 09:04 PM

Trading Karlsson or DSP for half a season of Regehr would be a total waste and a terrible move. The most I'd give up for him would be a 2nd + 4th (and not the Isles' 2nd). He's simply not worth it.

Ever occur to you why? If the cost is that prohibitive, teams are going to say no. No one wants to move a 2013 1st round pick right now. 2014? Maybe.

We don't have a 2nd this year.

You said you wouldn't trade the Isles'. That implies Anaheim uses their own, which they don't have.

The post was not specific as to which second rounder I was talking about. I just meant out of all of our second rounders, not the Isles'. Could be any of our future 2nd rounders.

leopold returned a 2nd + 4th/5th. Regehr is miles better than Leopold.

BloFan4Life 03-30-2013 10:15 PM

1st round pick. We will get it from some team.
