Mad Men Season 6

Who else is excited? After the insanely long delays of previous seasons, this one feels like it snuck up on me!

Crumblin Erb Brooks 03-31-2013 09:13 PM

I love when they add the previous season to netflix a few weeks before the new season comes out. Getting caught back up on season 5 the last week or so

Season 5 was so good. Hopefully S6 can live up to that. The promos for the season (that I've seen) haven't shown any upcoming clips or scenes but are instead relying on past moments, which I find cool. It forces people to tune in and see what is going to happen.

One of my favorite shows on TV right now! Can't wait :handclap:

NewtJorden 04-01-2013 09:40 AM

I cant wait, its my favorite show on tv

I'm so torqued for its return. Where we left off was Don's creepy ass mug checking out some pretty young thang at a bar, where or where does it go from there?

Yeah, I've not read any spoilers for it, so I am very interested to see how much, or little, we jump forward. Just such consistently great TV :)

I can't wait. My 2nd favourite show on TV after Game of Thrones. Gonna be amazing have them run together, Sundays are gonna be magical.

Loved the preview for it during the credits of TWD.

At last a series where the posters here aren't praying for the death of every female character.

I feel like they kinda stretched it even with Pryce dying. No one should die in the show, at least not of silly tropes like suicide.

Never underestimate the repressed emotions/anguish of the British people, especially the so called elite.

Tonight is the big night! I sort of wish I had done a re-watch of the previous season like I usually do. Oh well. I'm sure it will all come flooding back pretty quick.

The Note 04-07-2013 03:13 PM

So pumped. Love this show, expecting big things from this season

silverfish 04-07-2013 03:37 PM

Will check it out on the DVR tomorrow morning! 2 hour premiere, go hard or go home

brtriad 04-07-2013 07:21 PM

So pumped for this. Will even be DVRing the end of the Hawks game in deference.

GD Kings/Ducks/Mad Men/GOT all starting at the same time is killing me....

SB164 04-07-2013 07:55 PM

Can't wait, one of the best shows on television.

Orpheus 04-07-2013 11:13 PM

Not to toot my own horn, but it looks like I was right about Don :)

Wonder if the show's opening credits and this season's tentative theme have anything in common :P

Franck 04-08-2013 12:52 AM

Well, Don isn't going to off himself this season, we know that much.

Doig 04-08-2013 01:26 AM

I have a question because I just watched the show, but after reading reviews of the première I must have missed something:

Spoil:
When did Don cheat of Megan? The episode I watched (86 minutes) didn't show him having any sort of affair.

After he gave the Doctor the skis, the next scene was him and the Dr's wife (I think). Then he returns to bed with Megan.

Doig 04-08-2013 09:21 AM

Oh okay. All the links I watched from must have cut out the remaining 7 minutes.

invictus 04-08-2013 09:43 AM

Why would someone upload an incomplete version? That is ******, haha.

silverfish 04-08-2013 10:03 AM

Just when I found myself thinking: "Man, I really like this Doctor character, he adds a good element and him and Don have good scenes together."

What happens? Bam! In bed with his wife. Oh, Don, never change

Should have seen it coming though. I didn't recognize the actress who played the Doctor's wife in the beginning because I was too focused on trying to pinpoint where I recognized the doorman from (Little Carmine from "The Sopranos"), but once I realized it was Linda Cardellini I should have known she'd be playing a bigger role than I expected from the Doctor's wife.

What else, what else. Pete Campbell is exactly how he was when season 5 left off. Roger's world is really falling apart. Cooper appeared in about 2 minutes of a two hour episode, really showing how "meaningful" he is to the agency at this point.

Peggy in full on Don mode rocking **** as creative director at her new firm.

Betty trying to make sure Sandy doesn't make the same mistakes she did, also looks like she slimmed down a little bit too. I feel like Sally barely aged in the off-season, still one of my favorite characters.

Well, that's all I got for now. Excited for the ride that is sure to take place this season.
