Hudon to join Hamilton.

Charles Hudon ‏@KidHud_10 3m
Part Mardi pour le Texas rejoindre les Bulldogs d'Hamilton #wow

radicalcenter 04-01-2013 07:26 AM

That's nice. Can't wait to see Hudon, Archambault, Collberg and Vail all playing with the dogs:handclap:

Redux91 04-01-2013 07:26 AM

good for him, bergevin is workin hard these past couple weeks lol

FrankMTL 04-01-2013 07:27 AM

Wow, Bergevin is a boss

PricePkPatch* 04-01-2013 07:32 AM

Hudon's junior season is finished..?

Is he expected to join the Dogs next year?

JusticeBeaver 04-01-2013 07:42 AM

I really didn't think MB was bs-ing when he replied to Ryder saying "I didn't get much sleep" after arriving back in Montreal after the trade.

"Yeah, I don't ever sleep" (or something like that)

GM getting it done. Good to see.

Monctonscout 04-01-2013 07:46 AM

Kristo is the one I'd like to see. Get him signed and in the AHL.

JusticeBeaver 04-01-2013 07:51 AM

Doesn't he still have the frozen four tourney?

No. He's going to be a 19 year old junior player, so he's ineligible to play in the AHL.

No they lost to Yale so Kristo is done in NCAA.

Milhouse40 04-01-2013 08:01 AM

Niiiiice......Bergevin working with the young talent, not loosing any time!

I think the age becomes irrelevant when he's played 3 years in the Q already..

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong

WeThreeKings 04-01-2013 08:11 AM

I really, really, really like what we are doing.

Habs 4 Life 04-01-2013 08:15 AM

Good news, how many games left for the Dogs anyways?

10 I think.

HomaridII 04-01-2013 08:18 AM

Very good to see the diff in player development between the old regime and the new one.

Bergevin is obviously in charge, but I am sure Mellanby and Lapointe have a lot of input into what is going on with the young players, in terms of getting time at the big club and joining Hamilton.

shutehinside 04-01-2013 08:21 AM

With Vale already up, adding Hudon and possibly Collberg, who doesn't love the depth of prospects right now.

Tinordi, Ellis, LeBlanc, Bournival, Beaulieu (up now), Vale, Hudon, Tokarski, Collberg (soon) all in Hamilton. That future looks great and we didn't mention Thrower, Dietz or Kristo. Add to this list the prospects we'll get in this years deep draft and it looks like we'll have fully stocked cuboards in the minors and in the NHL. Outstanding!

Absolutely. Plus the Bulldogs aren't playoff bound, so it's definitely a good opportunity for some of the kids to cut their teeth with some pro hockey. Vail, Hudon and Archambault should benefit from it. And if Collberg comes, he'll get some precious N-A experience.

I believe it's 4 years in the CHL. So only for players who started playing in the CHL at 15 or early 16.

Wait. 10 games with the Dogs... won't that burn off a contract year?

Not 100% sure how it works, but I thought this was the regional tournament before the big frozen four tourney, but it was not!

Anyways, yep Kristo to steel town. Doooo it.

He'll sign a ATO with the Dogs in all likely hood. IIRC he doesn't have a contract with the Habs, so no year to burn off yet.

He doesn't have a contract. This would just be a try-out. No implications on his ELC (when, and if, he signs one eventually).
