Best App trade alert

Unfortunately for us Americans we cannot download the tsn trade center app on the iPhone :(.

Anyone have any suggestions on what would be my next best option for the coming trade deadline ?

Getting an alert on my phone is much for subtle and easier to see than checking hfboards while working.

Thanks in advance.

Dont know exactly if it works outside of Canada but the TSN text alert works nice. If not download twitter, make an account, follow Dregger and McKenzie first place the trades will be anyway.

try TheScore. their new update is supposed to follow the trade deadline news

pick a few people you trust on twitter, make a list, and follow it.

To be honest, just follow the TSN and Sportsnet analysts on Twitter and you'll get your news faster than any smart phone app.

Who are the best people to follow for trades anyway apart from Dregger and McKenzie? And don't start with the Aaron Rome jokes :p:

Renaud Lavoie is really good imo. he was one of the only analysts i saw who didn't buy into Iginla to Boston when the talks were getting out there.

Pierre LeBrun. He is great for breaking news, but also his articles.

Whoever mentioned TheScore's new app, yeah it's pretty good - I've been getting the breaking news just shortly after it happens.

Just create a new gmail address and then a new apple id. You can assign the new apple id to the Canadian app store.

Then you can download the TSN app and any other Canadian only apps you want in the future with that apple id.

If you create the new apple id without a credit card you can assign it to any country you want. How to set up without a credit card: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534 Go to "Creating an account on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch" and follow the steps.
Step 5 is choose your country. Step 10 is payment options.
