No explanation yet on Raymond's absence from Canuck skate, but I'm told he has not been traded.

If Raymond was the main piece in a trade for Clowe I would throw something.

jumptheshark 04-01-2013 01:52 PM

Clowe also gave an interview where he said he would love to play in Vancouver with their coach

In all fairness, Raymond has looked very good when healthy, and been one of our best plyaers this year.

However I do agree, it would have to be + something (pick/prospect wise likely).

Max Kellerman 04-01-2013 01:57 PM

Wouldn't look too far into that.

Mason Raymond not on ice with VAN today because he's a little banged up. I do not believe it is trade related altho Raymond's name out there

Asif16* 04-01-2013 01:59 PM

I doubt the canucks get him anyways. Its gonna be the flyers or WIld.

Why in the world would the flyers acquire him? They're not even going to make the playoffs..

I can't imagine Clowe getting traded to a future division rival.

Is that you, Kreskin?

If neither Canucks fans nor Sharks fans like Clowe for Raymond, that must mean its a good trade?

Not always, but sometimes

Habs 1909 04-01-2013 02:05 PM

It's quite sad that a player with 0 goals is now seen as the top player available available at the deadline.

Some team will overpay for him and I hope it's not MTL. MTL's "trade deadline acquisition" will be getting Bourque back from injury.

TheSandman 04-01-2013 02:07 PM

Not sure what would be so bad about getting Raymond. Would give the Sharks speed and secondary scoring, both of which they badly want. What am I missing? :dunno:

I don't know how many freaking times we have to inform people that he's had a shoulder injury most of the season.

He hasn't lost a step, at all. He's been playing when he should have been rehabbing because he's as tough as they come and didn't want to sit out. Even so, he has still been putting up points and playing very well.

I don't see one thing in Clowe's game that says to me that his production this year is anything more than a result of his injury.

Oh really? Seems like a good call when the team is 2 points out of the 8th seed with 13 games left in season. Especially when they are going of huge wins over Boston and mainly Capitals. But I agree with you Flyers shouldn't go after Clowe.

//By the way there were already some rumours that trade between Flyers and Sharks about Clowe will be likely done tonight ...
