wow, it finally happened. good for DD44. i hope he cracks their line up and gets more ice time. dude was a TEAM player throughout his tenure in LA. i wish him luck in MTL

Martyros 04-02-2013 04:04 PM

I was expecting more

Happy for DD44. The guy is a professional and humble guy, never complained or said a word about how he wasn't getting playing time. Hopefully he does well in Montreal.

How many picks does that give us in the 2013 draft? 10?

TwoForRoughing 04-02-2013 04:05 PM

This opens up a roster spot. With Penner on IR, another move coming?

CNS 04-02-2013 04:05 PM

Guys...I'll toot my own horn - called this in the Regehr thread. Thank you Whiskey! Good luck!

KopitarFAN 04-02-2013 04:06 PM

All the moving of picks that has been done in the last 18 months, and they now have 10 in this draft.

Kudos to Dean.

yup...and counting

Best of luck to DD44, good for him and going to a good team that will be in the playoffs.

Whiskeypete 04-02-2013 04:06 PM

now the bigger and more important question

still in play, or does it need replacement in the PGT's?

KingKopitar11* 04-02-2013 04:07 PM

Awesome. Do we have a ton of picks in the draft?

Shellz 04-02-2013 04:07 PM

I hope he gets more playinf time in Montreal...I think he deserves it. A real professional...good luck Drewiske :)

bobafettish* 04-02-2013 04:08 PM

if a player is placed on IR how long do they have to be there.

7 days, IIRC.

a good 5-6 Dman, that can play in the 3-4 slot in a pinch. as dingo points out he does many things well, but nothing spectacular. expect 100% effort and commitment, but no flashes of brilliance. solid team player and will do what is asked of him. plays the 'stay at home' D style, but has enough wheels to break out in emergencies. plays more position and angles. isn't overly physical, but can and will when the situation calls for it.

Basilisk 04-02-2013 04:18 PM

Does this mean Greene is close to returning?

vbaron 04-02-2013 04:18 PM

When Pres Obama got the #44 the writing was on the wall

Awesome, this is exactly the depht the habs lacked, thx for the analysis.

All the above plus very nice guy. On two of the Kings cruises I had a room near his so I saw a lot of him. Very nice person and his wife/girlfriend was as well.
He was the perfect 7 th Dman for the Kings.

a month out. around end of season, start of PO's. he skated for the first time the other day. right now they play as if he isn't coming back. when and if he does it is a bonus. can't focus on what you don't or can't control, only on what you can control.
