Renner* 04-03-2013 11:55 PM

crappy fight...off balance..swinging each other around

Boris Le Tigre 04-04-2013 06:24 AM

the Moen-o-copter can't stop the spin cycle.

Psycho Papa Joe 04-04-2013 06:27 AM

Crappy fight.

tarheelhockey 04-04-2013 07:44 AM

I was entertained

jw2 04-04-2013 08:27 AM

Awful.

Never understand why tough guys try to skate around a spinning player to try to punch them in the back of the head. Instead, we get ice dancing and london bridges combo.

SteelFish87* 04-04-2013 08:51 AM

weak fight

Moen looked scurrred

Godzilla 04-04-2013 09:07 AM

It looked more like a square dance than a fight.

He only wins against smaller guys like Greg Campbell & Andrew Ference. What a spot picker!! :sarcasm:

Just messing with the Habs fans that love to call our players spot pickers. Anyway, not much to see here, mostly spinning and fall down. I've watched a few times and still can't tell for sure if that left hand really hit, or if he just knocked him offbalance.

GenericFan2* 04-04-2013 01:14 PM

Moen was terrified

I liked Moen the last couple of years, but he has been a bit of a wimp this season. He did have that injury near the end of last season, so I wonder if that's why he's lost some of his sandpaper.

I actually really like Travis; wanted the B's to give him a look if he hit free agency last year. I'm guessing that the injury definitely plays into it.

McDooRoo 04-06-2013 01:06 AM

I've always like Simmonds.

Following game against Flyers, Moen invited Simmonds for a rematch and Simmonds declined.

curtisinpa 04-18-2013 03:08 AM

Smart of Simmonds not to accept a rematch. Flyers had a good size lead, no reason to give Montreal any chance to gain momentum.

Yeah in the remaining minutes of the game with a 4 goal lead. Lets not kid ourselves here it wouldn't have went well for Moen if they dropped them anyway.

There only other fight, Moen can fight, but Simmonds is really good on skate, him and Prust are the best at fighting while kinda skating around. Some of the bigger, heavier guys can't keep up with them, as was the case with Prust and McLaren, and in the OP with Simmonds and Moen.

That video was from 5 years ago when Simmonds was a rookie. Simmonds is way better fighter now compared to then. Simmonds fighting skills improved a lot since his arrival in Philly.

Moen's just not as good of fighter anymore. He's getting up there in age and is wearing down.

Simmonds is the better fighter but Moen have made a career by fighting guys like him. The chance that he would get destroy are really slim. In fact, Moen can hang with him easy.

I was kinda just trying to say that Moen looked worse than he really is in this fighting, mainly because of the type of fight it was, kinda skating around and punching. For a big guy like Moen this isn't suited for him.

Johnny Utah 04-19-2013 07:36 PM

I was at that game when Simmonds fought Moen as a rookie. Simmonds also fought Troy Bodie in that same game. Simmonds had 2 fights that night and ended up making the team.

But, like an earlier poster said, he has become a much deadlier fighter with age. Moen has always been a solid fighter, but has fought a lot less recently. I think Simmonds could beat him now if they fought again in a toe to toe fight.
