Big Game Story: Third of four meetings between these Pacific Division rivals. Each team has 10 games remaining in the regular season and it's not outside the realm of possibility
that the Kings could catch the Ducks for the Pacific crown if they pick up regulation wins both Sunday and in the final meeting April 13 in Los Angeles.
The KINGS need to remind the Ducks which team just won the Stanley Cup Championship. GO KINGS GO !!!

KINGS look to keep division title hopes alive vs. DUCKS and extend winning streak.

At this point of the season you kind of have to look at [the standings]. Not ‘have to’, but you take a peek once in a while. The way it is right now, you win a game, you move up. You lose, you move down. So it’s important for us to get two points."

I knew he had gotten a stick in the up.” (On the Robyn Regehr – Drew Doughty pairing) …“It’s easier at home. Faceoffs, things like that, right? You get six seconds before the referee puts his arm up. I’m sure we’ll have a little different challenge tomorrow.” (On the previous Anaheim game) …“I don’t know. I can’t remember that one. [Reporter: You pulled Quick early.] What’s that got to do with tomorrow?” (On the biggest challenge of Sunday’s game) …“We’re playing a team that’s what, 10 12 points ahead of us? So we’re playing a better team.” (On Anaheim) … “They’re a good team. Big team, strong team, veteran team. The kids they brought up are playing well. They’re using two goalies. We know that. We know they’re a division winner, and I’m not saying that because we play them tomorrow. But when you get off to that type of lead, that’s impossible to make it up. So, you know what? We just want to concentrate on us and try and play well. [Reporter: That’s kind of been the M.O. Don’t look around at the other teams. Just worry about yourselves.] The question was asked last week about home and road. Well, they’ve been awesome at home. Teams struggle on the road. We’re going into a tough building. Doesn’t matter if we are going into Catalina Island if they had a team.” (On when he’ll decide on tomorrow’s starting goalie) … “4:30 tomorrow. Doesn’t matter. Keep them fresh…There’s no issues, right? Our schedule says that you need two goalies that are fresh. We can take that from teams that are ahead of us in the league, to be quite honest. It ain’t ‘quite honest’, even in our conference – Chicago and Anaheim. So why not do what they do?” (On staying in Anaheim overnight and skating at the Honda Center tomorrow) … “You know what? One o’clock game today, and six o’clock tomorrow…it’s like that is a quicker turnaround. It’s a quick turnaround for us. So we might as well go. Guys can go have dinner and everything today, and get on the bus and get some down time tonight and skate tomorrow. I know they’ve tried it several different ways over the years. But we’ve done it different ways since I’ve been here, too. Three different ways. This would be the third different way. Whatever works. You know what? It’s more about keeping their energy level up. It’s more important than anything else, and it’s easy to get there."

This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

if kings win tomorrow, only 6 points out....

Sydor25 04-06-2013 10:58 PM

Scuderi has played 18:48 the past two games. That is why regehr is so important to the kings. Scuderi doesn't have to conserve energy anymore to play 22+ minutes.

Kings balance has been improved and will only get better with Greene replacing ellerby for the playoffs.

Regehr-doughty
Scuderi-Voynov
Muzzin-Greene

That is a sexy defense.

Omni Owl 04-06-2013 11:03 PM

I can tell Regehr is giving everyone a nice warm and calm soothing effect to my team please win because i live you and when your sad i cry. Breathe win relax live repeat. First in best dressed naked. please be whiskey jpeg pgt

Yeah maybe but ... their remaining schedule is kinda week with the exception of playing US twice ... they get Dallas 3x's, Columbus 2x's, Phoenix 2x's, LA 2x's, Minnesota and Detroit ... they have a good chance at winning a lot of those games, I'd venture to say more than half of them. At least CLOWnE is gone and can't play the puck from the bench on our Final game of the season against the Sharks this time :shakehead

Maybe the Dallas that has shown up against us will play them. Then again that Dallas didn't show against the Ducks this week.

Well the Dallas that showed up against the KINGS still had Jaromir Jagr, Derek Roy, Brenden Morrow and some heart and desire left in them, and an outside chance in hell at making the playoffs ... now ... not so much :( they've packed it in ... as has Phoenix and to a lesser degree Detroit, I hope at least Columbus and Minnesota can muster up some fight against the Sharks, I think the Kings can beat them twice, but that MIGHT not be enough to stay ahead of them in the standing unless we get some help from these other teams ?

The Dallas that showed up against us really just needed one person and his name is Kari. 113 shots against and only 5 goals allowed. A nice .956 save% and 1.67 GAA. If he shows up like he has against us then they have a chance to win.

It's always a busy game against the Ducks. I expect a lot of chippy, sloppy, garbage goal plays. Want a victory to put the division within reach. 4pt swing here.
