Will Ovechkin win the Rocket Richard?

With Ovechkin coming back to form and now only 2 goals behind goal leader Steven Stamkos, with 10 games left will Ovechkin pass Stamkos to win another Rocket Richard?

HockeySensible 04-07-2013 02:23 AM

No, but it is nice to see him scoring goals again. The game's better when Ovechkin's scoring 50 goals.

TAnnala 04-07-2013 02:29 AM

I'd say it is open race with him, Stamkos and Tavares. Tavares is the weakest of these three. Maybe an outside chance with Carter. (Who currently has 22 goals and 5 assists. :amazed: )

Gritzky98 04-07-2013 03:59 AM

It's between him and Stamkos, 2 best goal scorers in the world.

JFG 04-07-2013 04:28 AM

I sure hope so!

RealisticLeaf55 04-07-2013 05:21 AM

It will be a draw

MetalheadPenguinsFan 04-07-2013 05:24 AM

Nope

skillhockey 04-07-2013 05:34 AM

2 goals is a lot in 10(11 for Stamkos) games but Caps have found their game and Tampa hasn't so it looks likely.

msrulo 04-07-2013 05:52 AM

Ovi has really picked it up through the month of march to this date. Call me biased, but I'm picking for him to win it.

Dionysus 04-07-2013 09:50 AM

I would put my money on Ovechkin. He is putting the caps on his back. Stamkos has been slowing a bit of late, and the lightning are falling out of the playoff race.

Paradoc 04-07-2013 09:51 AM

I think he will.

They've been out of the playoff race since february

Hopefully. He's putting the Capitals on his back and pushing them into the playoffs. Amazing to see considering they were so far back not too long ago.

So were the Caps. What's your point? Playing in that crappy division is a bigger factor IMO.

InjuredChoker 04-07-2013 11:03 AM

I think Stamkos will win it.

Khris Creider 04-07-2013 02:02 PM

Ovechkin over Stamkos...He's basically keeping Washington ahead in the division

Izzy 04-07-2013 02:11 PM

I still don't see him passing Stamkos.

TK 04-07-2013 02:12 PM

They will both end the season with 38 goals.

bdawg1989* 04-07-2013 03:41 PM

Oh how I missed his old-self.

ottawa 04-07-2013 03:46 PM

Yes, Ovechkin is tearing it up right now...He just needs to keep this up for maybe half the games left and he'll have a good chance of winning it (assuming Stamkos doesn't go on fire or anything)

HockeySens 04-07-2013 03:59 PM

I hope so and I think so, To me, OV is a better goalscorer than stamkos. I can take flaming

BayStreetBullies* 04-07-2013 04:05 PM

If Ovie keeps it up, he could be a serious contender for the Hart trophy.

bringthecuphome 04-07-2013 04:09 PM

I still think Stamkos wins, but I'm pretty down for a nice scoring race between these two.

I wouldn't argue to hard against these two being the two best goal scorers in the world, but to discount Tavares at this point of this season is not only completely asinine but also displays an obvious level of hate.
