NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

Hockey is a game you have to play with your heart a lot of times and I think we’ve been doing that lately.
And we also understand how important every point is right now.
- Henrik Lundqvist

It's a pretty cool feeling when you score that goal.
You see your whole team coming after you. It's a pretty good moment.
- Dan Girardi

The lockout affected Hank just like everyone else. He was not the goalie that we know as the season started.
But he’s been at the top of his game. It’s no coincidence that we’re 5-1-1.
- John Tortorella

Beat em every way

Hemlawk86 04-16-2013 05:04 AM

We need to rest Hank before he gets burnt out.

He hasn't played since Thursday. We've got 3 in 4 nights starting tonight, so I'm sure he'll get one of the next 2 games off.

Saturday vs isles no?

Megustaelhockey 04-16-2013 06:01 AM

If your offense gets called out by Kevin Weekes of all people... then, yes, you have to win. :shakehead

Ail 04-16-2013 06:06 AM

Tortorella acurately describing the reason why this team has been successful as of late. Also giving him a shoutout for keeping his job security.

NYR2007 04-16-2013 06:09 AM

Philly won against Montreal last night hopefully they are tired and emotionally spent

SoftEuro4thLiner 04-16-2013 06:15 AM

3 wins in the next 4 games. Get it done, boys.

They didn't just win; they embarrassed the Habs at home. I actually thought the score was a typo when I saw it... I don't know how tired they'll be from a game where the opposition didn't show up.

FromTheSide 04-16-2013 06:19 AM

The 2 teams we're trying to pass are playing 2 of the worst teams in our conference tonight :shakehead

If carolina and florida can work some miracles tonight and beat ottawa / islanders and we take of our buisness we'll be in 6th by the end of the night

Rangers Fail 04-16-2013 06:21 AM

Just beat these clowns. Abuse their defense. They're very weak behind their net. Low to high. LGR.

This is true we have to take the fight to them. We need heavy sustained forcheck. It doesn't matter how bad their D is if they are playing in our end the entire night.

NikC 04-16-2013 06:50 AM

Philthy still has some offense, and MTL was standing around taking bad penalties and getting burned on the PP. Flyers want to play the whole game in the O-zone, we need a strong forecheck, and pressure on their crippled defense.

Rangers 4-1. I'm expecting Clowe to score.

It doesn't matter. They could have three Marek Maliks and three traffic cones. With Mason in net we are guaranteed to score no more than 2. Its back up goalie syndrome.

Why couldn't Bryz be in goal

Nac Mac Feegle 04-16-2013 07:21 AM

Definitely a winnable game.

cjc5103 04-16-2013 07:44 AM

Beat those filthy animals. LGR!

Also Winnipeg has Tampa and Washington has Toronto, who is playing their 3rd in 4 nights. Plus all the teams we would want to see lose (OTT/NYI/WSH/WPG) are all at home.

Must win tonight against a tired Flyers team to stay with this pack. Guarantee we won't be getting much help on the scoreboard.

silverfish 04-16-2013 07:54 AM

Forget the scoreboard, just hoping the Rangers take care of their own business.

Need a much better effort from everyone (minus Hank, who needs to play the same) than we saw on Long Island, Saturday night.

Internet is down. I might make a nice one if I have any time this year.

If they don't score 3, fire everyone

Amazing Kreiderman 04-16-2013 08:08 AM

Guys, good news! Will work till midnight so I will be home in time to watch this! Not that I am counting, but the Rangers are 16-3-1 when I watch the Rangers live! ;)

Let's get 2 points!

Hoping for a strong game by Zucc, Brass Art and Swagelin

Giacomin 04-16-2013 08:11 AM
