Unbelievable save by Marlies goalie Drew MacIntyre

Folks, I know this is NHL talk technically, but this save is incredible. I've never seen this before

:amazed:

NjDevsRR 04-27-2013 05:48 PM

holy ****

Darren Peng 04-27-2013 05:48 PM

that's awesome, I remember my friend used to always make saves like that when we played street hockey

you don't see that type of save very often at all, very unorthodox, way to not give up on the play

domaug* 04-27-2013 05:49 PM

that was ridiculously good, but does that even go in without the save?

Analyzer* 04-27-2013 05:50 PM

Oh ****. I thought it was just a pad save at first.

MattyMo35 04-27-2013 05:51 PM

Might have gone wide without the glove, but that was still pretty slick.

premadonna 04-27-2013 05:51 PM

Hooooolyyyy jumppiiin

hatterson 04-27-2013 05:52 PM

Great reaction but I'm pretty sure it wasn't going in the net anyway, looked to be headed wide.

DocWest 04-27-2013 05:53 PM

Damn, that was pretty slick.

A1LeafNation 04-27-2013 05:54 PM

Holy ****!!

LeafOfBread 04-27-2013 05:54 PM

Even if it was going wide, Mac has tremendous balls to try that in a playoff game and actually pull it off. That's a desperation save in it's finest form

Paradoc 04-27-2013 05:56 PM

Holy crap! I thought it was his pad at first, but to catch with his glove?? Absolute robbery!

Why would it take balls to try that? It's either that, or let the puck go past him.

Nice save, though.

Del McPreston 04-27-2013 05:58 PM

"The Chosen One" Drew McIntyre

JannikAtTheDisco 04-27-2013 05:58 PM

that's going well wide, if anything he just gives it more of a chance to go in off his glove.

remarkable save nonetheless!

Bowie 04-27-2013 05:58 PM

That was nuts!

KingBuzzo 04-27-2013 06:00 PM

That was my road hockey move that never worked. ****ing cool.

Canada4Gold 04-27-2013 06:00 PM

Yeah looked like it was going wide, but still, to stay in the play and catch that in your glove is incredible.

Reminds me somewhat of this, though the puck was being shot instead of rolling down his back

The Lunatic Fridge 04-27-2013 06:02 PM

WWE Superstar Drew Mcntyre also plays goalie for the marlies? :sarcasm:

Sickening Save.

First of all, it's easy to say "let the puck go past him" when you can see the angle fine watching at home. On the ice it's different, from his view, the puck is going behind him, he doesn't know if it's going into the net or not, it's not like Mac has slow-mo vision

Also, if he were to mess up slightly, like say he wasn't quick enough to trap the puck or get the whole glove out in time, it's possible the puck deflects off his glove and goes in. It was risky trying to pull that but he timed it perfectly.

Sergei Shirokov 04-27-2013 06:04 PM

He could have just used his blocker. :sarcasm:

When you're hot, you're hot.

Tommy Torini 04-27-2013 06:05 PM

That's insane! So sick! :amazed:

That save was an instinct reaction. You're acting as though it was planned in advance, like a guy doing a backflip or whatever for a shootout attempt. That's weird.

Just because he's on the show "Superstars" every week doesn't mean he gets that title. ;)
