I want Anaheim gone ASAP.

TheSentinel 04-28-2013 08:29 PM

Wait, 10 people voted and there's 9 that want LA to win?

I am hoping the Leafs do well.

Looks like Brian Burke is kind of getting the last laugh after being unfairly laughed at on HF after some of his deals.

Seguin and Hamilton for Kessel was not a win for the Leafs, but it is only a slight win for Boston, not the robbery so many ignorant people thought it was. Kessel is a better player than Seguin right now and probably forever and is one of the elite offensive players in the NHL. Very few players are as good as he is offensively.

Remember all the laughing about the whole Schenn and Kadri draft picks, sure looks like the Leafs got the better player in the 09 draft.

I actually want to play against the hawx and eventually the pens to win our second cup. To be considered the best, we must beat the best.

I don't! Let someone else beat them. No one remembers what teams the Kings didn't play en route to the Cup, just that they won it. Hell some people don't even remember they beat New Jersey!

KingKopitar11* 04-29-2013 02:14 AM

I want to play the Duckies.

Here's who the **** I'm rooting for:

**** SJ.

MSRinkRat 04-29-2013 03:02 AM

How would the Ducks play the Kings in second round? Just askin.

Only second round match up for the Kings would be either the Nucks or Sharks.

CNS 04-29-2013 05:27 AM

Chi, ANA, LA, and SJ would have to win for us to play the Ducks in the 2nd round.

Not correct. Teams re-seed after every round.

Kings would get Chicago if The #2 and #3 seeds win their series. Detroit, Minnesota (yeah right), or San Jose need to pull off an upset in round 1 to avoid Chicago in round 2.

Kings would get Anaheim in round 2 if the Hawks and Ducks advance along with the Sharks and Kings.

CBC series commentators:

STL/LA: Mark Lee - PBP/Kelly Hrudey - Color/David Amber - Reporter
BOS/TOR: Hughson/Simpson/Healy/Oake
MON/OTT: Cole/Galley/Campbell-Pascall
CHI/MINN: Brown/Millen

As I told my Wild friends; "Just hope they can tread water and take the series to 6-7 games so the Hawks aren't well-rested for round 2."

TonySCV 04-29-2013 10:01 AM

For the Stanley Cup Final this year, NBC will air games 1 & 4-7 in a change from past years, when it was 1-2 and 5-7. NBCSN will air Games 2-3.

NBC got into hot water last year when they were going to air a potential LA clinching Game 4 on cable (NBCSN) vs. NBC. This fixes that.

Axl Rhoadz 04-29-2013 10:05 AM

Kind of weird to see every Kings fan predicting them to win the cup....first season that's ever happened.

I think were a bit overconfident.....IF we do it again, it certainly won't come as easy as it did last year.

Not every fan... not by a mile. It's Chicago's to lose AFAIC.

TonySCV 04-29-2013 10:14 AM

This is pretty big news. NBC Sports will stream the entire Stanley Cup Playoffs online.

The service will be available for free to users of Cablevision, Comcast, Sudden Link and Verizon FiOs who can verify their cable service.

I'm more worried about the Kings getting out of the first round than who is going to win the Cup.

Oy. There goes my productivity.

Sydor25 04-29-2013 10:25 AM

Holy ****, the Vancouver vs. SJ main board thread is already on part II. :biglaugh:

Another series that I can't root for either team. I think SJ would the lesser of two evils, but the Kings struggle against them. :dunno:

In the last 10 years, only Detroit and Pittsburgh made it out of the 1st round the year after winning the Cup. Detroit was on a 3 year run where they made the conference finals in 07, Cup in 08, Finals in 09. Pittsburgh was on a similar 3 year run where they made the Finals in 08, Cup in 09, then the 2nd round in 2010.

That's Crosby/Malkin, and Datsyuk/Zetterberg/Lidstrom at the top of their games.

The Kings will need similar levels of play from Kopitar/Doughty/Quick if they plan on playing beyond the 1st round this year. Who knows, that might not even be enough.

If it was easy to win the Cup, it wouldn't be worth doing.

TonySCV 04-29-2013 01:04 PM

I'm sure Ottawa fans will love Ovie's shirt at the press conference today.
