Leafs in six. These are the schemeless Ron Wilson leafs these are the improved Randy Carlyle version. As for the Bruins, they aren't playing well enough right now to beat any playoff team. I will be rooting for them but this is by the far the least I expect since Julien's first season.

Even then, that team pushed a heavy favoruite to 7 games despite missing Bergeron and saddled with Murray on the top six.

Absolutely blown away at how ridiculous this fanbase is seeing these poll results/comments. Bruins in 5 or 6.

Confound 04-28-2013 10:00 PM

Head says Leafs in 6, heart says Bruins in 5.

BostonBruins92 04-28-2013 10:01 PM

No PP
Leafs will abuse.
Chara is exhausted
Bruins play actuallay are playing the badest hockey since Lewis.
Colton Orr will be on them - not sure Thornton still likes the job and not sure Luci wants to dance with thèses guys.........
PK is going not as steady and we HAVE so much difficulty to score a REAL goal that it's impressive.
LEAFs .... in 6 or 7

Dellstrom 04-28-2013 10:03 PM

Yep, going Bruins in 6. I don't care that they've played like ****, a round against the Leafs will wake them up.

Brand new slate from here on out. Rest of the season doesn't matter anymore. You get your opponent and you play your game.

Neely08 04-28-2013 10:06 PM

If they can keep Peppermint Patty from moving the football, they can beat anyone.

Galchenyuk4habs 04-28-2013 10:07 PM

As a habs fan... You guys have the clear advantage here. Yes you've been on a bad streak, but the leafs just lost to the habs 4-1. Reimer got pulled, not a good time for them either, Bruins have the playoffs experience, Leafs really don't have ANY besides Lupul. Bruins are a much tougher team outside of Toronto's 4rth line, Bruins in 6.

Bruins Stooge 04-28-2013 10:08 PM

The Kessel vs. Seguin story line will be big, or at least the media will help make it that way. If one catches fire, it will really dictate the games. Seguins had some great success against Toronto, so hopefully he can ramp it up for this series.

David McConnor 04-28-2013 10:13 PM

The B's will blow away the Leafs with ease. The only concern is hoping either the Sens or Rangers advance so that Boston can avoid the Penguins in the second round.

Strafer 04-28-2013 10:13 PM

Heart and Head are a battlin'. Heart says: B's in five...
Head says Leafs are a sprouting in 6.

We both said the same exact thing.

I feel like this could go either way, hopefully Kadri doesn't dominate us.

Krnage 04-28-2013 10:17 PM

Leafs in 6. As it stands now.
  • It matters not one bit what the team (and Clode by association) did with less, a few years ago. It's how they look now, and right now they look horrendous.
  • It matters not one bit what both the team and Clode's track record is. This team made the playoffs every year for 19 years in a row under various coaches, Clode's 6 in a row while impressive considering some of the teams he coached, is not enough to overlook the state of disarray the team is in right now.
  • Tuukka is not Timmy.

If this team:
  • Can't hold a lead (even with just hanging on, or whatever works).
  • Do not hit and intimidate.
  • Doesn't get scoring contributions from the 3rd line.
  • Do not get energy from the 4th.

Because those are the keys to our success, without them we're just a loose association of players who happen to be putting on the same sweater before a game.

If not those things, then what are we good at?

It's certainly not the power play. SH and 5on5 sure we're good at, but that hasn't been enough to win games lately. We're being beaten with the lead, with out it, tied going into O.T, and in the S.O. In fact we've lost nearly every way possible in the last month.

The saving grace is it's the Leafs. If they get an emotional bounce from an early win in this series, it could propel them through the series itself. After that I think anything can happen. If only because they look at themselves as losers right now. If they get a winning mindset by beating the Leafs it will change that attitude around 180 degrees.

Aaaaah great minds (think alike), and hearts!:D

Looch 04-28-2013 10:25 PM

Head says Leafs in 7. Heart says B's in 7.

smithformeragent 04-28-2013 10:27 PM

They've lose 7 of 9. Optimism is one thing, but how can people be so cocky going into this?

Easy, the leafs suck almost as bad as we do.
