-   -   Proposal: TB / MTL if Drouin still available @ 3 (http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1416221)

TB / MTL if Drouin still available @ 3

TB seems to lack D depth while this is the Canadiens strength. The parameters of the deal are dmen and picks to TB for the 3rd. Habs can't deal any young forwards and Subban is off the table. So I propose:

TB's: 3rd overall

vs

Habs:

1st - 26th
Nashville & Calgary's seconds - 34th and 36th
+
Nathan Beaulieu (habs 1st from 2011)
+
choice of any habs dman not named Subban or Tinordi.

thrower, dietz, diaz, emelin etc...

too much? not enough?

JuicyJ* 04-29-2013 09:32 PM

Bealieau isn't good enough to turn down McKinnon or Drouin for a late round prospect.

I think for Tampa to move the pick, PK would have to be involved, and Montreal probably doesn't want to do that

Is this proposal serious??

Chacal667 04-29-2013 09:34 PM

not enough and a ridiculous offer, maybe I'm just not sold to Beaulieu and I'm a habs fan but whatever Droun worth much more than that !

subbanged 04-29-2013 09:34 PM

As a habs fan not going to happen,

Bergevin has stated long term winning is the plan

Chacal667 04-29-2013 09:35 PM

if you want drouin it's gonna cost galchenyuk or something equivalent

Trading all that for a guy with 1 or 2 good years left....

long, short or medium time, Drouin >>>> that offer

he's probably gonna play in the nhl the next season or very soon.

Yakupov and Galchenyuk are better then Drouin. I'm sorry but Drouin is getting overrated. He's an excellent player and will be an amazing nhler but....

Rschmitz 04-29-2013 09:39 PM

Still way off for top 3, but at least it isn't junk being offered.

Asinine 04-29-2013 09:45 PM

Can't see TB giving up Drouin. As much as TB needs D they are going to need a feeder for Stamkos when St.Louis is gone and Drouin is probably the closest thing to St.Louis in terms of play style.

....you'd need more, not worth it imo

Would something around Pacioretty + picks (I'll let you decide which ones you want) + prospect of your choice for Drouin Work ?

We have picks:

27*
34
36
57*
71
87*
+ Lower rounds picks

I understand that Pac didn't have a great year but your team is small enough as it is. Adding in Drouin is not going to help the top 6.

The fact that he is local trumps actual team needs for some people. Its kind of sad really...

I don't care if he's a hometown boy or not, infact, if we do get Drouin, I'd want Desrharnais (a hometown boy) to be out first.

I just think that Drouin has a ton of skill, that's why I want him.

Marshal Rochambeau 04-29-2013 10:09 PM

Why does YZerman not want a DROUIN-STAMKOS-ST. LOUIS LINE THAT IS INSANE

Didact 04-29-2013 10:12 PM

Subban for 3rd overall. take it or leave it.

Excuse me but what?

Are you seriously saying that Galchenyuk is going to be more than an "excellent player?" Because really... that's overrating him a bit much.

Yakupov < Drouin
Murray < Jones
Galchenyuk < Mackinnon.

2012's top-3 was quite weak compared to 2011's and 2013's.

Wouldn't deal our pick for anything other than stud defense

it's hard to evaluate a guy that made only 3 less points than Yakupov with only 11 TOI if you consider that he didn't play 1 single game the season before he got drafted.
