Craig Simpson - What's he bringing?
It looks like he already has the PP looking better. Altho we only scored 1 pp goal against the Canucks, my impression from what I've seen, heard and read, is that we are moving the puck a lot better and getting into better shooting positions. Depending on your view point, this could be baby steps or a leap, but it's all in the right direction.
"He's been really impressive with what he's done right from the outset," MacTavish said.
"He's got some good ideas on the power play in terms of puck movement, body movement and I think it's going to pay big dividends for our power play."

A couple of posters have said that his shot is more accurate than the boys paid to play. Funny, he seems to think he needs to improve. :D
"One of the things I've been trying to get back is my legs and my hands to be able to shoot," Simpson said after the team's 2 1/2-hour practice session.
IMHO - Hiring coach Simmer was one of the best things KLo did for this team.
Afterwatching two practices in Jasper I would have to agree that picking up Simpson is a step in the right direction for this team. Simpson spent a lot of time after practice today taking shots with Smyth, and Torres. And once again he was the second last guy off the ice. The players all seem to respond to his advice. He brings some creditbility to the pp since he was known as a sniper. And if all else fails he will help our goalies with there angles because if they give him an opening he burys the puck behind them. Pete Peters seems to bring a lot of energy to the ice also.
