NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

There’s that 5, 10-minute span in the second period where they grabbed onto it and ended up getting a couple of goals off of it.
That’s what the playoffs are about... momentum swings.
- Ryan Callahan

For some reason, it went under the pad. I have to be more solid on the ice there.
I probably expected a pass and maybe I was a little slow to react, but it doesn’t matter. I have to stop that.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I’m not so sure Asham's play is a penalty. They call it, though. We can’t take that many penalties in a game.
They get a good bounce off the boards, but you just can’t take two in a row. So, hopefully, we’ll discipline ourselves the next game.
- John Tortorella

Tanner Glass 05-03-2013 08:36 PM

Please practice shooting, and not being bad at defense

JohnC 05-03-2013 08:43 PM

12-1 Caps

Panfork 05-03-2013 08:45 PM

gonna say 2-1 Rangers. Lundqvist won't let up 3 goals in back-to-back games.

NikC 05-03-2013 08:50 PM

we're winning tomorrow, shutting the mouths of this front running fanbase and their russian star.

4-1 rangers

I Am Chariot 05-03-2013 09:04 PM

Be better.....one shift at a time.

Silence Of The Plams 05-03-2013 09:05 PM

30-1 caps

Clowes Line 05-03-2013 09:06 PM

Take a page out of the Islanders' play book and win the game.

Riverdale 05-03-2013 09:07 PM

Win

I don't smoke or drink, so all I can do to cope with losses is to eat. I have gained like 5 pounds since game 1.

bmw2004 05-03-2013 09:07 PM

I am not sure they win the serious but tomorrow they will absolutely kill the mother ****ers!!!

JohnC 05-03-2013 09:13 PM

This 12:30 start is on my list of things that make me die on the inside. Right behind shots of Sully with the whiteboard

Good lord, I'm barely out of bed by then. I didn't expect to watch a playoff game over breakfast. What nonsense is this? Glad I noticed it..

Fire Sather 05-03-2013 09:34 PM

we play a 1230 game every playoffs doe

silverfish 05-03-2013 09:36 PM

Would be ideal to take this series 1-1 to MSG. Although, you're never really in trouble until you lose on home ice. Rangers have something to prove to themselves tomorrow, hoping they come out and do that.

Also hoping for some new bodies in the lineup tomorrow!

I like 7-730 games since if we happen to lose my depression only lasts until I go to sleep, whereas if we lose tomorrow I will be sobbing uncontrollably for 13 hours.

Isles played 60 minutes after Okposo gave them the lead they attacked the Cindys and didn't sit back

WeWillWinTonight 05-03-2013 10:00 PM

I think they will win Saturday and Monday. Just a feeling hope it's right.

Krams 05-03-2013 10:40 PM

I can actually watch this one live. So excited.

NYRANGERAMI* 05-03-2013 10:46 PM

We are the NY Rangers. We are the Blue shirts. The Team the Fans, and Good Ole New York. Where ever you might be, Your New York at heart. And the Rangers will win tomorrow. And we will win this series. Because no team captures us and makes us go through hell like the New York Rangers. But we will not be defeated. Whats done is done, and all that can be done now, is tomorrows task. So get your cheer going, get your nerves in check, grab your beers your whiskey or your can of coke, and lets cheer together as we kick the living **** out of the Caps tomorrow..LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Synergy27 05-03-2013 10:50 PM

About to head to bed at the in laws house in northern Virginia. Heading to the game in the morning. Morning, WTF? Please win so that I don't have to fight my father in law.

Bob Richards 05-03-2013 11:01 PM

Please beat that ****ing team.

darko 05-03-2013 11:19 PM

Great a day game. I'll be missing this one.

Get it done boys. LGR

The Perfect Paradox 05-03-2013 11:30 PM

Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow morning I'll find out that some of the injured players will be ready to go. Huge difference between going home with the series 1-1 rather than 0-2. I don't care how, but just get it done.

The Dark Passenger 05-03-2013 11:31 PM

Last time the Rangers played was on my 18th birthday (May 4, 2008), against Pittsburgh. Marian Hossa scored in OT to eliminate the Rangers from the playoffs.

Hopefully this one will erase that memory.

LGR!
