It's time to unleash Mike Blunden

Tough, team guy, good skater, umm... ya, Mike Blunden!

YMCMBeaulieu 05-06-2013 08:19 AM

Lol.. tough. I like Blunden but he wouldn't add much, I prefer Dumont over him.

Halpern should be in the lineup though, he was great in game 2 and I'd rather have him playing than Desharnais.

Bask 05-06-2013 08:19 AM

if Mike Blunden is our savior, we might as well just surrender

Habbybirthday 05-06-2013 08:19 AM

Go with the line up we played when Patch and Gio were out.

Dumont in.

Bring Blunden in.

Roll the grinders.

Halpern instead of Blunden

Halpern was fantastic in Game 2. there is no reason he should have been removed

Agree. Halpern played great when he was in. Bring him back.

Maxpac 05-06-2013 08:41 AM

Thread = fail.

ClasslessGuy 05-06-2013 08:44 AM

last thing we have to do is trying to goon it up again...

I approve this message

Quoted for truth. "Unleash" Mike Blunden? Might as well "unleash" Tom Pyatt, same outcome.

Le Tricolore 05-06-2013 08:48 AM

Michael Blunden is my all time favourite player. I think he can provide us with the scoring we desperately lacked yesterday.

kassian 05-06-2013 08:48 AM

Blunden hits and that's about it. He would've gotten his ass kicked in that line fight yesterday, no doubt.

Habs 1909 05-06-2013 08:50 AM

Completely agree with Halpern staying in the lineup.

Megaforce 05-06-2013 08:51 AM

Never liked Halpern, he's an offensive black hole, but I admit that the Game Two result with him in the lineup wasn't too shabby.

Patches needs to stay in bed until he's feeling better.

#FreeBlunden

This thread makes me sad.

Reminds me when bring up Mario Roberge was the answer to the Habs woes. If Blunden is the key cog missing, we're really ****ed!

All they need to do is play their game to win. Trying to goon up a bigger team and not playing to our strengths is the ultimate exercise in futility and will lead to us packing it in 5 games.

Play fast, play hard and play smart. That's how we win. Blunden doesn't compute in this equation.

Halpern rose the crowd to their feet with two shots on net short-handed.

If DD wasn't 'local' he would be benched so fast. :shakehead

Dumont would likely destroy Blunden in a fist fight. Blunden is less of an NHLer than Weber

Em Ancien 05-06-2013 09:19 AM

Blunden is a spare part on a 4th line in the NHL. But considering most of the team is looking like spare parts, it's not totally out there. Halpern and Dumont should draw in before him, though his size (however he uses it) is a plus.

Halpern is better than Armstrong. Armstrong is just too slow and Halpern is a center that we are lacking right now with his face off wins.

I'd rather lose in 4 than see that ****ing pathetic excuse for a hockey player don the Habs sweater ever again.
