But. . . but. . . Brodin did all the work and Suter just benefited from playing with him.

Your logic is wrong!

Suter is terrible and only gets points because he plays half the game on a terrible team!

Brodin is terrible and only seems decent because he is paired with Suter!

And neither of these logic trains can be turn around on Weber!

GopherState 05-07-2013 11:52 AM

Brodin got ROBBED AGAIN!

Uberdachen 05-07-2013 11:54 AM

Overpaid Wbr lite, Robin Minnesota blind.

$uter is a prime buy out candidate this summer. No way he is being kept after getting carried by Brodin to a Norris nomination....

Syan Ruter 05-07-2013 12:32 PM

Imagine how much this must sting for the Nashvillers:handclap:

Not much for me. I'm glad he's finally getting acknowledged for his play, I'm just bummed that he had to move to a northern city before he was recognized as the defender he is. He easily could have been nominated the past couple seasons. Hope he wins, congrats.

Implying it has anything to do with location? The reason he wasn't getting recognition is becuse of Weber. You know, the guy who was getting tons of recognition in a southern city.

GopherState 05-07-2013 02:10 PM

Had too much fun with the whole "Not Shea Weber" deal.

that was pretty awesome :) NSW was my favorite under-the-radar off season acquisition of the last few years.

No he has a point. Nashville is as non-traditional of a market as they come. I mean come on, we're a pretty traditional market, and look hoe Brodin got snubbed for eastern conference nobodies. It would be kind of hypocritical of us to blame that on Brodin getting snubbed and not acknowledge that Suter was probably snubbed before because he was playing in Nashville.

I'd buy it if Weber was getting snubbed too.

So nice to have a legit first pairing now. Don't care about the awards...

"I was excited when the Wild signed Minnesota native Zach Parise," said Wild fan Tom Falso.

Nashville board is kind of entertaining at the moment. Tears are delicious, but I kind of feel bad for the team. The actual team. Not so much the fans.

llamapalooza 05-07-2013 03:50 PM

Gopher, that is a masterpiece.

Poor Kyle Brodziak - he had the title for years.

Minnesota is a weird NHL market.

It gets respect for being close to Canada (if 300 miles is close) yet isn't Canadian and get oversaturated love/hate for being so. It gets treated like an Original 6 team at times yet is the second-youngest team in the NHL and doesn't have an actual rivalry. The Wild are shown more than average on national TV yet is always on as the opponent of one of the big 3-4 teams.

Even in the Twin Cities the team gets overshadowed at times by other hockey. The Wild are the NHL market version of mediocrity - don't hear many bad things but there isn't a lot of praise. It just exists in a vacuum.

That said, real Shea Weber probably should have won the Norris a couple years ago. We'll see if Not Shea Weber ends up doing the same.

Goodness gracious, there is a lot of hatred on those Nashy boards. Like...wow, man. It's the first time I've taken a dip over there, and may be the last. Life is too short to be that spite-filled.
