Hopp Schwiiz!!

I have a bad feeling about this one. Norway is better than Denmark, and the way they've played so far I'm afraid a player could be injured in that game.

This is a joke. Norway has been one of the least physical teams in these championships. I think midway through the third period vs Belarus, Norway had a grand total of four hits. Four.

Don't see Norway winning this. Haugen will have to steal it.

Nah we have been rly physical and won alot of battles along the boards yesterday. Players like Tollefsen, Bonsaksen, Holtet, Martinsen, Dahlstrøm, Ask, Forsberg etc needs to play physical to make an impact and they did.

noexult 05-12-2013 06:04 AM

Physical, but not giving out too many hits, still believe we can win against Switzerland, as long as we play as well as we did in the 2nd period yesterday. And that we are successful on those chances we get ;)

chokei 05-12-2013 06:22 AM

Of course I hope for a win but have a bad feeling about this game. The 4-1 win yesterday is a bit misleading because altough Switzerland was the better team, it wasn't their best game. If they want to win against Norway they need to step it up a notch again.

AwesomePanthers 05-12-2013 06:52 AM

Norway should have beaten Belarus a lot more than 3-1 last night. Looks like the team is stepping up and getting OKT back. A fair chance to win this one. We beat them in 2011, and can do it again, even though they look incredible strong this year.

Reds4Life 05-12-2013 07:12 AM

Go Swiss!

swisdan 05-12-2013 08:04 AM

Seems like The Czech Republic will be a Switzerland huge fan for this game!

Wolfy* 05-12-2013 08:42 AM

No suspension for Martinsen after that hit last night, maybe they figured out its time to leave Norway alone for a while.

But I'm sure OKT will be back on the bench if he turns someone into a slice of swiss cheese tonight...

SwissGrog 05-12-2013 09:04 AM

I don't know what do think about this game. I don't think that going undefeated in the qf would be a good think. I have the impression that this team is indeed humble, but a loss now could release some tension and bring back our guy to the earth. On the other hand, they are hungry and they possibly want to win every game, which is a good thing. Either way I think that tonight Switzerland is going to relax and Norway needs the point much more than us, so I'm betting on Norway.

I guess Simpson would agree, a defeat could be helpful for him to keep the players close to the system... especially that after 4 games getting used to "weaker" opponents, it's really important to have the system on top again in the QF right from the beginning...

and this could've been a game where having a Helbling would make sense... If Toellefsen starts to show his dirty habits again, just force him into a fight...internat. rules: both out of game. perfect.

so guys keep your heads up and don't give him the chance to catch you in a vulnerable position!

Grossmann or Blum can do this, one of them is out on Tuesday anyway. :)

Wolfy* 05-12-2013 11:02 AM

I don't think Tollefsen is dumb enough to drop the gloves here, he knows that means another suspension. And no Swiss would be able to handle him anyway.

Is he known for fighting? Other than that the times where Swiss players could be pushed around like dolls are over. Niederreiter is already bigger than Tollefsen at age 20.

Tollefsen is very known for fighting.

He really shouldn't go there...

chokei 05-12-2013 11:25 AM

Anyway... Punching a guy's face doesn't score you any goals. Our players better focus on that. ;)

swisdan 05-12-2013 11:31 AM

A true poet! ;-)

Bottomline, it's very important game for Norway. Less for the swiss squad.
