What About Next Season's Final Position?

Ok now that we know some of the new players better and that we know
that Bergevin will work his keester off to make the team better during the
summer then what do you think our final position will be at the end of a
full season next year??

Make an educated guess here please.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

1- Same position as this year?

2- Middle of the pack?

3- Barely making the cut for the series?

Too early to tell

Why are you asking this when the season isnt over and UFA period is in almost 2 months?

Who knows what our team is gonna look like next year.

I voted "Middle of the pack team", but I think it's too early to ask this question.. we should wait and see what Bergevin will do during the summer first.

Just as I predicted that we'd be first round fodder, I predict that we finish 10-11 and the excuses for price finish.

Exactly the time to see if most of the fans have confidence in the management of this team and their direction after a fairy tale season almost. To take the pulse when the body is still warm i could say and see if the optimism is there.

It all starts with the summer training. If they are hungry and want it and train hard, success will follow. Since I don't know what they're all going to do this summer it's hard to tell.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that the changes will be minimal. I don't see any changes made to the D... Tinordi will be expected to try and make the team out of camp and will be fighting with Bouillon/Drewiski for that last spot. Weber will be let go and Kaberle will be bought out. Other than that same defense.

I could see Diaz and/or DD being traded but that's not very likely.

We'll need someone to replace Ryder but it could also be Prust or Moen... maybe a free agent signing or maybe they'll try to get Ryder back although I doubt it.

I think it will be tough next year with the new alignment.

Our divison will have 5 strong teams : Montreal, Boston, Ottawa, Detroit, and Toronto (maybe)

The other division will have NYR, Washington, Pitt, and the Islanders. Also Columbus takes over for Winnipeg.

Since only the top 3 from each division and then 2 wild cards make it, I think it will put the Habs in a scramble to make a spot.

MB has some work to do this summer and hopefully he'll improve the team.

I said middle of the pack it will depend on the guys MB brings in and who walks. We need more size and skill to be a contender in all honesty. So only time will tell.
