Owen Nolan was born in Northern Ireland, not Ireland. Also Steve Smith was born in Scotland. Wasn't there a player born in Jamaica?

Yeah, Mogilny was technically born in Asia.

True. But the vast majority of Russians (the USSR is gone) live in Europe. I believe it is around 80% of the population live west of the Urals. The rest of Russia is pretty vacant. Think Montana or Saskatchewan.

Sorry. I overstated slightly. According to this site only 74% of the Russian population lives in Europe.
