I was on the phone the last night involving my work while the bruins came back, it was so hard for me not to yell.

GoneFullHextall 05-14-2013 11:15 AM

Pens in 6
I would love for Ottawa to win, but sadly I am not seeing it. Like NYI, Ottawa will put up a fight and come up short.

Rangers in 7
Another close, hard fought series and too close to call for me so I went with the team with the better goalie.

Hawks in 4

Chicago is just to deep and strong for Detroit. plus there defense is better then Anaheim.

Kings in 6.
another physical series was thinking about picking SJ, but Quick is at the top of his game right now I am sticking with them,

I am like you here. I don't think that the Sens have enough offensive fire power to close the deal. Pittsburgh will jack up Alfredson and Turris and that will be that.

The prospect of Spezza returning albeit a very long shot is intriguing. He skated with the team on Sunday, so this is worth monitoring. Having Spezza at 80% would be a significant plus for Ottawa to match up better.

whatthef 05-14-2013 01:28 PM

Watching that Leafs disaster was the most enjoyable part of the playoffs so far. If my team can't win at least I can enjoy the sweet tears from the fans of other teams.

CanadianFlyer88 05-14-2013 01:38 PM

Okay, revised prediction on the Bruins/Rangers series due to the crippling injuries to Boston's defense:

Rangers over Boston in 6 - Chara is going to tire quickly, which will spell the end for Boston

Recap of other picks (mainly so I can recall my failure at the end of the round):
Sens over Pens in 6
Sharks over Kings in 6
Hawks over Wings in 5

Mr Black 05-14-2013 02:24 PM

Sens 7
Kings 6
Rags 6
Hawks 6

If the sens play the Pens physically, I see them winning

I would absolutely love that, but I don't see it. I think the Sens were lucky to get passed an overrated Candiens team, despite what the scoresheet said.

The Pens can't continue to take penalties and get away with it like they did against the Isles. The Sens have a PP that will make them pay.

Well, yes and no

The sens' PP was terrible without spezza. If the Sens get Spezza back, and I think he should be back very soon, they can't take the stupid penalties. If Spezza isn't back, they can play with less discipline

Flyerfan4life 05-14-2013 05:16 PM

Sens in 5..

just dont think the Pens have it to make it any farther..

they were SOOO close to being eliminated by the NYI.

Someone shot the puck at him and it was behind him just sitting about 3 inches from the crease

had no idea where it was

tried to lay back after it was behind him
