Luke Schenn to the Leafs

Leafs could really use a big defensive, physical right handed dman. He was always very popular in toronto. The only reason we traded him was because jvr came along and we really need a player like him. What would it take to get Schenn back in Toronto? Untouchabes are Phaneuf, Kessel, JVR, Kadri, Lupul, Rielly, Riemer

bleedblue1223 05-14-2013 12:44 PM

Maybe something around Gardiner...

Riseonfire 05-14-2013 12:45 PM

When was the last time a team traded away a young high draft pick, and then traded back for him? Never?

Warden of the North 05-14-2013 12:46 PM

While I'd take Luke back in a heartbeat (he'd excel under Carlyle, IMO) there is 0% chance this happens

Teeder9 05-14-2013 12:46 PM

haha. I've seen everything now. You know, the world didn't end last night

Gratton

Flyers would make you take Bryz contract with Schenn

Rather give Bryz one more year and buy him out if he sucks again after next season. Flyers have deep pockets courtesy of Comcast backing, no need for this negative value crap.

Wait so JvR is untouchable for Schenn now?

This is a stupid thread.

From a leafs perspective why would they want to give up a guy that lead their team in points in the playoffs and helped them to make the playoffs for a guy who underachieved as a leaf?

And the Flyers got what they needed, a decent defensemen. A trade back would not make sense for either of these teams.

Curufinwe 05-14-2013 01:26 PM

Decent and also durable. That's a big plus for a Flyers team that constantly lose defensemen to injuries.

Blue Steel 05-14-2013 01:27 PM

Even the thought of trading away Gardiner for Schenn will prove to everyone that Nonis doesn't know what he is doing. Throughout the series with Boston he (Gardiner) played excellent. From what i saw from Gardiner in the playoffs, i just cant wait for Morgan Reilly to come to the bigs and play on a line with him. They would be the best fit for both players. Furthermore, Gardiner has out played Schenn the moment he put on a leafs jersey.

This won't happen.

Hatrick Marleau 05-14-2013 01:30 PM

JVR for L. Schenn:sarcasm:

TOGuy14 05-14-2013 01:46 PM

When we got JVR for Schenn I screamed no tradebacks, and the rule still stands.

I assume that means no Schenn for Toronto

Pass. I'd take Luke over JVR 7 days a week and twice on Sundays...Not trading him, he turned into a RH shot blocking, checking machine... He was solid for us while JVR I believe will always be the JVR he was here, inconsistent

Numbah4 05-14-2013 05:03 PM

Johnnyutah let Bodhi walk..well surf actually. Now, he wants to arrest him. Sounds like a good sequel. Did Bodhi rob any banks
in Australia?

dawkins121 05-14-2013 05:37 PM

Flyers are just as happy with the trade as the Leafs are, he's not being traded back.

Flukeshot 05-14-2013 05:43 PM

I thought part of the reason for Schenn getting dealt was the rumoured poor relationship with Cap'n Phaneuf.

The trade is one of the few win-wins out there (at this time).

The difference between men and women is that men dont stay pissed at each other for ever, wtv it is Phaneuf and Schenn can have a beer and work it out like men.
