#Coyotes pending RFA D David Rundblad may leave #NHL for #KHL per his agent via @EkExpressen
Guess he aint liking the AHL treatment

HappyDude 06-13-2013 02:46 PM

Cue the Bryan Murray Grinning pics

18Hossa 06-13-2013 02:46 PM

@steffeG: Big whoop about Rundblad story but agent merely states there's an interest from Russia, player wants to be in the NHL. Politics.

Marty Straka 06-13-2013 02:47 PM

probably just a negotiating ploy to get Phoenix to pony up some dough.

Do Make Say Think 06-13-2013 02:49 PM

Rundlbad's Agent: "Mr Maloney I would like to introduce to you leverage"

Mika Hoffmanijad 06-13-2013 03:03 PM

just sign the kid on a 1 way contract and let him develope as a 7th D, its not hard phoenix

HavlatMach9 06-13-2013 03:13 PM

Should be able to get a one way contract. He's been developing well there.

Benjamin 06-13-2013 03:16 PM

Dont blame him. He should be in the NHL.

Probably just trying to get traded to a team where he'll play in the NHL no matter what.

MainDotC 06-13-2013 03:40 PM

Send a couple of prospects to Phoenix for Rundblad. Good replacement for Gonchar.

Nordic* 06-13-2013 04:15 PM

Call me crazy, but I still think he can be a really good offensive defenceman in the NHL.

He will most likely always make stupid decisions, both offensively and defensively. He will always be a risk-taking player. Not all good given the fact that he's....a defenceman.

hes got way to much pure skill to not have an impact offensively. He needs to develop on the 3rd pairing and be eased in into playing against better and better players.

If handled right im sure he will become one of the premier offensive d men in the league.

Qward 06-13-2013 05:08 PM

Put Cowen with Karlsson and have Methot keep defensive tabs on Rundblad.

Phillips and Gryba filling out the D.

Vaclav Varada 06-13-2013 05:11 PM

Puempel and Da Costa. DO IT GMDM

2010 - Ottawa trades #16 for David Rundblad
2013 - Ottawa trades #17 for David Rundblad?

neutral zone trap13 06-13-2013 05:41 PM

I would definitely trade the 17th for him!

I'd probably do it too lol

WillyBilly1990 06-13-2013 06:07 PM

He isn't worth a 1st round pick anymore

When it's all said and done, it would be as such.

Rundblad + Turris

for

2013 1st round pick (17th) + Anthony Stolarz

I'd be perfectly fine with that.

Highly touted offensive defenceman who hasn't been given a fair shake in the NHL and would replace Gonchar immediately isn't enough for the 17th overall pick? A kid we won't see make an impact for probably 3-4 years?

No. Give me Rundblad back for that 17th. That would be fantastic asset management by GMBM.
