The Facebook group is like the anti HF Trade forum. All our players suck and everyone else's players are amazing.

Don't trade this pick!!!

We have a ton of those here. Well, at least we did in the past.

It's gotten much better around here in the past year. (Except all of the Coburn hate.)

I think everyone held a unified front against Bryzgalov. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Without our mutual hatred of Bryzgalov to unite us anymore, I fear as though the Flyers board here will turn back into bitter warfare of who we should hate next.

StoneHands 06-26-2013 09:29 AM

Can someone verify what time the draft starts and when it's projected to finish on Sunday? I'm away all weekend but I want to make sure I am available for at least the first 2-3 rounds. Also, will it be on NHL network or NBC Sports?

It is weird having an offseason where I can't say I dislike a player ;)

@JackStraw

BPA is going to be a forward like Shinkaruk if Jones, Nurse, and Ristolainen are all off the board at 11.

There are rumors of Holmgren potentially trading down. I could definitely see it in that scenario.

Of the second tier of defensemen: Zadorov, Morrissey, Mueller, Morin, Hagg, Pulock; someone will still be available in the late teens to early twenties.

And then in group three; Theodore, Bigras, McCoshen, Heatherington, Bowey, Dahlstrom, Arnesson; someone should float to the 41 area.

If Homer can trade down and get two of those 2nd tier d-men, I would not be unhappy at all.

Looked it up yesterday and all I know is the start time is 3pm and all 7 rounds are supposed to be on Sunday. Haven't seen a tv schedule yet.

Sam Morin excites me. 6'6" and can skate. Imagine him smashing Crosby for the next ten years. Yes please.

Calgary and Columbus both have three second round picks, so any deal to move down in the first round would have to be with them.

He's ideally a Coburn replacement.

You come out of draft day with Ristolainen/Nurse/Morrissey and Morin/Zadorov, then you've won big time. You have a future pairing in place.

I'd probably put the tier something like this :

Top : Jones
2nd : Nurse, Ristolainen, Zadorov, Morrissey, Pulock, Morin
3rd : Mueller, Hagg, Theodore, McCoshen
4th and on : the rest

I would be willing to trade Coburn, Laughton and our 3rd pick to Edmonton for their pick at #7 and draft Ristolainen.

Then I would target another second tier defenseman, preferably Morissey or Pulock at #11.

Is this a joke? You'd trade a proven veteran defensemen and a young talent called the best player in the OHL last year (arguable) for Ristolainen? I mean I want him to, but what has he done to prove hes worth even one of those players?!

We are in a great spot at #11. There's going to be a good player there no matter what. Don't do something stupid, Homer.
