Dev Camp invitee

Don't if this has been published before. Just saw that the Bruins have invited Brody Silk a LW from Sudbury. He was suspended for 12 games in a game vs Niagara Falls this season. I'm not sure but he is really knocking down number 18 (Ryan Strome) ???? Can't get you a link other than Brody Silk suspension 12 games. He had another too. He was rated by CSS. Maybe he the second coming of our good old friend Tony Camara:) By the way does anybody have the roster for dev camp this year.

If this is old crap I'm sorry

The roster probably isn't finalized yet. They usually post it on the Bruins website once they have it.

I just you tube'd him. Its exciting that we just picked up a fighter who isnt that good at fighting.

PepeBostones 07-03-2013 12:07 PM

No maybe he isn't. But he was ranked 160 and even better in midterm by CSS. Nice to have invited though. Thank you for putting a link on him. How do you feel about what kind of player he is and what made him fall. I know Kirk had along the lines as possible late pick.

FireBenning* 07-03-2013 12:50 PM

I'm a big Sudbury fan and a huge silk fan as well. I was definitely shocked to see him overlooked. NO he is not a fighter but he will stick up for himself or anyone on his team and always seems to take on the bigger guys. He plays any role, powerplay penalty kills ,Top 6 forward but would be a 3rd 4th line guy at the next level. Won hardest worker for the wolves as well. The reason he was passed was due to his bad luck with injuries. If he stays healthy he will be an absolute steal and plays Boston bruins hockey

Definitely Thursday and possibly Sunday with my middle daughter. I really should ask her before saying that. :D

Kiss My Rask 07-03-2013 01:20 PM

Finally going to go to one this year, open to the public, correct?

some interesting invites this year.

this guy in particular seems pretty good on paper anyway:
Casey Bailey is a 6’3”, 195-pound forward from Anchorage, AK, who skated last season for Pennsylvania State University, tallying 14-13=27 totals in 27 games for the Nittany Lions. The 21-year-old ranked second on the team in goals and assists. Prior to joining PSU, the forward appeared in 60 games for the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League, where he notched 27 goals (led the team) and 33 assists (second on the team) for 60 points (second on the team) with 83 penalty minutes (led the team). In four playoff games with the Lancers, Bailey scored two goals and two assists.

Anyone know anything about him?

Blidh, Cehlarik, Arnesson and Camara should be interesting to watch.

I saw him play vs Holy Cross and twice vs UConn. As a PSU hockey alum, I was stoked that they are finally D1. Bailey is uses his size in the corners and is definitely a shoot first guy. I would say above average skater, plus hands. If I remember correctly, he also killed penalties, but I could be wrong there. I really liked his game, though was a bit of a puck hog at times. Poor man's Glen Murray, but probably more like Landon Wilson or Brad Isbister.

Can Camara make it through camp without picking up a suspension? :naughty:

He and Dempsey could have some words

I'll settle for not running into the stanchion this time around. ;)

At least the goalies won't have to worry about being steamrolled by Knight this year. Poor Hutch got drilled 2 years in a row.

WickedBruinsGirl 07-03-2013 04:12 PM

Can't wait although it seems like the season just ended...

Oh wait. :sarcasm:
