Why top 18? Why not just top 10?

Just an odd number to cut it off at.

Eh, I just felt like there were enough top 10/20/25 lists and decided on that. Nothing special to it. Glad I did, though. Got really tough to add guys to list by 15 or so.

iceberg 07-08-2013 02:01 PM

18th aniversary???

BusterBluth 07-08-2013 02:05 PM

Isn't it easier to start at #1 and work backward than 18? Eventually we may end up at #3 with Sakic, Forsberg, Roy and Foote remaining and that could get awkward with one of them being left of the list?

Edit: it's not a vote...nvm. But still, easier to have debate when you know who is ahead of who then other way around.

Bonzai12 07-08-2013 02:50 PM

You have Foote too low and switch Kamensky with Lemieux. Ozolinsh should be in front of Deadmarsh and Bourque imo.

Dan Hinote has to be on my list. I'm not sure where but I miss the guy. Still wear his jersey to games.

Yeah probably - I really put that list together in literally 2 minutes. You can probably juggle a lot of dudes there. You could interchange Brunette, Aebi, Kono, Keaner, and maybe some other guys with those last dudes on the list too.

In jersey ordered number I presume... Why don't you order them?

It is too hard to rank some of the lesser players on the list. I would have it I did a smaller list.

Really high on Lemieux, eh?

Bonzai12 07-09-2013 09:32 AM

I'm high on Lemieux as well.

I know people love Foote and I definitely know why, but I feel like Foote loses popularity for bolting to CBJ and then his really bad last years here - should have retired much earlier. But he was one of the best in his prime.

Lemieux was such a catalyst to me when he was an Av. People will say Parker was the enforcer but I felt like Lemieux was the "protecter" while scoring goals at crucial times as well. Absolutely loved him as a player.

JohnnyDrama21 07-09-2013 12:27 PM

#17...*drumroll* Uwe Krupp!

even though i know the list is about spot on. i would still swap Forsberg and Sakic.
Forsberg for me is the #1 Av. i know Sakic is the franchise guy but for Me Forsberg(despite leaving) is the #1 guy.
had he been able to stay healthy and avoid the foot injuries he would have been nearly untouchable in his place as an Av.

Bonzai12 07-09-2013 01:37 PM

Uwe Krupp? barely played a season and a half for the team....I guess 2 seasons and a half if you don't count injury time...c'mon.

Bordeleau Of Blood 07-09-2013 01:51 PM

Krupp deserves some mention merely for bilking Detroit out of $16 million for a total of 32 games played in four years.

IndustryLeech 07-09-2013 03:43 PM

Speaking of Kamensky, anybody remember his one-punch KO of Ulf Samuelsson?

The Kingslayer 07-09-2013 03:57 PM

The lack of Martin Skoula on those lists is utterly disgusting.
