Paajarvi Appreciation Thread

Really bummed about this. One of about 5/6 players that looked like he gave a **** about winning last year. It looked like his career was just getting back on track after escaping the Belanger triangle. Hopefully St. Louis makes good use of him.

I don't honestly get the impression that a player is a super nice guy, but got that impression from MPS. Good luck Ultra Magnus.

The look on his face after scoring a big goal against the Flames during his rookie season will be forever burned into my mind. If there are indeed hockey gods then he'll find his way back to Edmonton at some point.

Thanks PVR, MPS, Pajaarvi, Paajarvi, Maggie, Magpie, MSP

Gonna miss the acceleration...

Gonna miss Paajarvi.

Love his wheels.

Mcnofool6110 07-10-2013 04:14 PM

If you can escape the Belanger Triangle, you, sir, can do anything.

I'll never forget his hat-trick vs Tampa in the preseason, he looked like Malkin-lite out there....lol...can't wait to see Perron in Oiler silks.

This. I've become increasingly cynical about professional athletes over the past several years but Magnus gives off such an inviting, friendly persona.

I really hope Paajarvi is successful in his career. I'm sad to see him go.

SeriousBusiness 07-10-2013 04:15 PM

Always enjoyed him, wish he had panned out for us, and hope he does great things in St. Louis.

Who's Paavarji? I thought Jujar Khaira was the only player of Indian descent drafted by the Oilers:sarcasm:

He was my favorite Oiler, the guy I was pulling for the most. I'm disappointed he won't get to fulfill his potential with the Oilers. Hopefully he's a better fit in St. Louis. I'll be cheering for him there.

jhoops89 07-10-2013 04:38 PM

Good luck Mags

SterlingArcher 07-10-2013 04:39 PM

Hope he has a great career ahead oh him really was a classy guy. One of those true nice guys that was just happy to play the sport he loves. Hope Perron continues to be great for us but I hope Magnus as a great career as well.

Rin 07-10-2013 04:43 PM

Sad to see him go, but wish him the best of luck. You have to give to get.
