If Gagner is 85 then it should be like this:

Hall 95
Eberle 90
RNH 86
Yakupov 86
Perron 85

I have a feeling RNH will be lower then gagner, just because they have him up there on the first line.

Oh most definitely they will. I'm just saying that Gagner is rated a tad too high.

But hey I'm not complaining. I still have NHL 11 with the last update where:

Penner is traded
Horcoff, Gagner, Hemsky, Whitney, and Hall are all injured.

Number 1 center is Andrew Cogliano (He's actually amazing though because of his speed).
Number 1 wingers are Omark and Eberle (who are both rated in the 70's i believe).

Just an awful roster. That was rock bottom. Still beat my friends with that team though.

I think they been pretty good to Gagner ever since that time he went to their offices to complain about his score.

Anyway, I would even want to predict what the Vancouver offices have in store for the Oilers. They're even more biased in favor of Vancouver than the Canucks claim the NHL is biased against them.

Hall 88
Gagner 86
Eberle 85

Are you being facetious, or did he actually do that?
If so....wow with a WTF.

The imagery might not be as harsh as I painted it, but yes, after his rookie season (I believe) Gagner did say something publicly about being unhappy with his score. EA was smart enough to turn into a publicity opportunity by inviting Gagner to their offices in Vancouver. I remember they filmed a story on it that was shown on the Oilers' website and possibly TSN as well. Stortini and someone else I can't remember went with Gagner, and after some playful banter with the staff there they raised his score.

Ah okay. So it was a bit of chicanery on his part to mess around a bit and maybe get a bit of publicity out of it. It's not like he was really dead serious about it, and went into the offices with a gun or something (exaggerating, obviously). I get it now; he was kinda having a bit of fun with it, but was still kind of a little "wtf about my score dudes!" too.

The only score I'll post is Halls'.
I think he'll be: 92

Edit: looks like it'll probably be 88. That's alright, I guess.

I think everyone is missing the

*RATINGS NOT FINAL

part at the bottom of the picture

I did notice that, but how likely are they really going to change them? It's hard to say, but I think the chances are pretty low. Just my opinion.

Toydarian 08-12-2013 03:35 PM

As I recall, Gagner had been rated lower than Cogliano and Nilssen (his linemates) in NHL 09 despite putting up higher point totals.* During a TV interview, Gagner jokingly complained about EA's ratings.

It was all in good fun.

* it might have been Gilbert and Cogliano who were Gagner's roommates and were chirping Gags because of his lower rating.

The Nuge 08-12-2013 04:14 PM

EA is pretty clueless with our team, so I'm going to assume lots of guys, like Petry and Dubnyk, will remain underrated

Mike Brown - 70
Jordan Eberle - 85
Sam Gagner - 86
Boyd Gordon - 79
Taylor Hall - 88
Ryan Hamilton - 71
Ales Hemsky - 81
Jesse Joensuu - 72
Ryan Jones - 79
Anton Lander - 72
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - 80
David Perron - 83
Ryan Smyth - 82
Nail Yakupov - 80

Anton Belov - 71
Andrew Ference - 82
Denis Grebeshkov - 72
Philip Larsen - 75
Jeff Petry - 77
Corey Potter - 75
Justin Schultz - 82

Ladislav Smid - 81

Richard Bachman - 75
Devan Dubnyk - 82
Jason Labarbera - 78

Cloned 08-12-2013 04:25 PM

As of the last roster update in NHL 13:

Yakupov 81
Schultz 81
RNH 84
Smyth 78-79

I don't think the first three will go down, and the last one won't go up. Everyone else could vary.

Brewster 08-12-2013 06:36 PM

My take.

This is the one that really irks me. How can they rate him badly enough that he doesn't make your lineup when in real life, he logs more minutes than anyone else

Petry's initial overall is usually low; however, in NHL13 he always develops quite well (and quickly) ending up as an 85/86.

Nuge93 08-12-2013 07:26 PM

Why is Gagner rated higher than RNH in everybodys opinion?
