WJC U20 2014 Sweden Roster

What do you think about this roster ? That's 5 line I know but I think Forsberg and Lindholm will be in the NHL! It's the beginning of the season so I know a lot can change but as for now, I see it like this for the forward !

Collberg Lindholm Forsberg
De La Rose Wennberg Sandberg
Sorensen Nylander Burakowski
Possler Wallmark Zaar
A. Karlsson Crus-Rydberg Henriksson

That's a pretty good line up !!

johnson, hedberg, sundqvist, rydahl > zaar, karlsson, henriksson, cvr

Huffman 08-29-2013 04:25 AM

Sounds like Kylington might have a chance to crack Farjestad's roster this winter, first triple underager since Paajarvi?

Edit: They probably want him at the U17's and go with more experienced guys.

Aho is another young guy I think could make this team.

An update of the potential roster without Lindholm x2 and Forsberg.

Quantity and quality at defense but lacking quality in the middle imo.

Dansk
Högberg
(Johansson)

Andersson Hägg
Djoos Arnesson
Norell Olofsson
(Dahlström/A. Lindholm/Pettersson)

Collberg Wennberg A Johnson
Sörensen De la Rose Nylander
Possler VCR Burakovsky
Hedberg Sundqvist Sandberg
(Zaar, Wallmark, Rydahl, Karlsson)

Hockeyfrilla 09-18-2013 07:41 AM

Rasmus Andersson must get a look at next U20 tournament

Huffman 09-18-2013 10:34 AM

It's a shame Sebastian Aho got injured, will be tough for him to make the team now.

KRM 09-18-2013 12:58 PM

Rydahl has not left of where he ended last season, I think he's still bothered by his hip problems. The ones who have impressed the most IMO are Blidh and Anton Karlsson.

Edit: ISS have taken notice, Karlsson ranked fifth in the september rankings for the draft.

I think he'll make it. Three games, two goals, four assists so far.

in j-20.

TheFatOne 09-30-2013 03:20 PM

Possler - Wennberg - Johnson
Collberg - Nylander - Burakowsky
Sandberg - Wallmark - De la Rose
Zaar - Karlsson - Sörensen

Hägg - R.Andersson
Arnesson - Djoos
Pettersson - Pilut

Dansk
Högberg

Pilut nope. Byström, C. Andersson, or Olofsson instead and Sundqvist in among the forwards. And I don't see them splitting up Collberg and Possler, Wennberg will likely centre that line.

That second line just screams defensive liability.

KRM 09-30-2013 05:03 PM

Possler-Wennberg-Collberg
Johnson-Nylander-Sandberg
Burakowsky-Sundqvist-De la Rose

So many options with the remaining four forward spots.

Huffman 09-30-2013 05:14 PM

I don't think Nylander is ready for a top-6 center spot. I'd much rather have him on the wing where he can put more focus on offense. Zaar has to fit in somewhere too, not sure where though. This team will have an unusual amount of goalscoring wingers, Collberg, Possler, Zaar, Johnson and Burakovsky are all snipers basically.

Of Rasmus Lindholm, Filip Forsberg and Elias Lindholm we might hope for Elias at least.

Possler - Lindholm - De la Rose
Burakovsky - Wennberg - Collberg
Johnson - Nylander - Sandberg
Zaar - Sundqvist - Sörensen

Mrpm 10-09-2013 11:09 AM

I'd like to see Edwin Hedberg in the fourth line. A very explosive player with amazing skating. His work ethic and grit is really good, got fast hands and is hard to catch for defenders. Been playing really good in Modos 3rd line.

Mrpm 10-10-2013 03:50 PM

And today Hedberg scored two goals against Linkoping.

He's black, born in Colombia. Probably adopted.

By Anders Hedberg?

Huffman 10-12-2013 09:59 AM

Hedberg is exactly the type of player we need and I would take Kylington over Byström any day of the week. Let's see what happens with E. Lindholm, his injuries early in the season could make him available, he would improve this team so much. I also think there's a chance Forsberg could be sent down to the AHL later on, he's got some things to work on still.

Hockeyfrilla 10-12-2013 11:15 AM

How do byström look in färjestad?

BPilgrim 10-13-2013 03:18 PM

I'll throw in a wild card: Leon Bristedt. He can play both center and wing and has had a good start to the season. As he is going to college next year he has declined to play in SHL, otherwise I'm sure he would have been playing before Vrána for example.
