Two derbies tomorrow:

Far East derby between Amur- Admiral and Tatarstan derby Neftekhimik vs AK Bars.

Central game of course Avangard- SKA. Cervenka returning ''home'' and well, first time we see SKA in full strength tested by a good team.

These are most interesting games for me here.

ult 09-05-2013 03:46 PM

Yeah, I'm interested in the first Admiral game as well. Hope it won't be canceled because of flood. But somehow I think that 800cm water level won't stop Khabarovsk fans.

kiluj 09-05-2013 05:18 PM

Omsk arena looks cool.:)

malkinfan 09-05-2013 05:19 PM

SKA vs Omsk will be most interesting game IMO.

jaco 09-06-2013 04:54 AM

Schütz with 2 assists already.

vorky 09-06-2013 05:20 AM

Vladimir Tkachev, 1995, playing in 2nd line of Avangard? :amazed:

Trying to make him stay. Can't say I blame Avangard for anything, he is an exciting prospect and one worth the investment.

ult 09-06-2013 05:37 AM

Admiral won in the shootout 4-3.

Acallabeth 09-06-2013 05:59 AM

Great debut for Admiral, too bad most games will be eclipsed by today's football game, even if it's Luxembourg.

ult 09-06-2013 07:01 AM

Nice opening ceremony in Omsk.

Kshahdoo 09-06-2013 08:32 AM

Well, 5-1 so far in SKA...

Vicente 09-06-2013 08:36 AM

Crazy game in Omsk. First I thought like "WOW, they are dominating SKA well" and then they have such a break in during the 2nd period...

I guess SKA will be popular in Prague with Crvenka playing for them. At least, there won't be problems with selling tickets.

Kshahdoo 09-06-2013 09:19 AM

The same 5-1 as Dynamo, but away.

Avangard looked very strong during the first 15 minutes and really earned their lead with hard work. Then Tikhonov scored out of the blue and made it 1-1 before three fast goals in the second period decided everythng for SKA. Off course Avangard had a couple of chances here and there but even in multiple power plays they were not able to really get Nalimov into trouble anymore. I have to say that SKA lacked a little discipline. Other teams would have easily punished them for all the stupid penalties. In the last 20 minutes it was just like a training session with SKA not doing more than they had to.

I am a bit disappointed of Kovys debut. He had some great passes here and there that could have been goals but he stayed without a point and also had a huge chance where he appeared 1 metre alone in front of Lassila. A must score goal. Both first lines (defense and attack) of SKA looked just great! Especially Tikhonov, Martensson and Dallman. Just my 2 cents. :D

obskyr 09-06-2013 09:43 AM

At least Omsk beats SKA to Sushi's celebration.

Kovalchuk still appears to be little out of shape, but that's not a great loss for SKA.

Incoming in October: Matikainen going back to Finland.

It was disappointing to see that they continue to pick redundant penalties even without Fedorov and Artyukhin.

No clock at official KHL web stream for the Torpedo - Ufa game. Somehow this drives me pretty crazy. :help:

PS: Godfather theme is played during 1st intermission. Hilarious. :D

That was his KHL debut right? Pretty interesting that "the rich guys" let a 19 year old into their goal for a season opener. So seems they will give young talents a chance aswell. :handclap:

I did not watch a game but I would be suprised if he played. According to league´s site, he was back up whole match. http://www.khl.ru/game/244/37783/protocol/

Uh. WTF in the begin they talked about Nalimov I think so I thought he played. I didn't really pay attention at SKA goaltending as it was pretty good. :handclap:
