Vancouver-Montreal

Vancouver gives:
Edler
Hansen

Montreal gives:
Plekanec
Gorges
2nd round pick

MISC* 09-18-2013 03:09 PM

No thank you.

Habs 4 Life 09-18-2013 03:18 PM

I don't think it works for both teams, Canucks most probably won't be interested and we can't afford to move Plekanec right now. Desharnais as our #1 center = a top 3 pick!

Vankiller Whale 09-18-2013 03:20 PM

Nope. We have Henrik-Kesler-Schroeder-Richardson-Gaunce-Horvat as our centre depth. If we do end up acquiring someone, it will be a cheap stopgap 3C, not one making 5m to play on our 3rd line.

Take out Hansen and the second rounder, and I think the Canucks might be interested. Canucks could add Schroeder.

That may not be the most attractive offer for the Habs, I know, but Hansen has too much value, and Plekanec, while awesome, is an awkward fit for the particular need we have (third line C)

Andy 09-18-2013 05:17 PM

pass

AlowlyMcOilersfan 09-18-2013 05:22 PM

But why would Vancouver get rid of an offensive PMD and why would Montreal want another one?

Blind Gardien 09-18-2013 05:29 PM

Habs pass. This doesn't improve our team. Good players all around, but I just don't see how it helps.

Tryampled 09-18-2013 05:40 PM

I like Plekanec and would consider this but I don't think it works because of the cap.

Benjamin 09-18-2013 05:49 PM

Value favours Montreal but overall bad for both teams.

Max Kellerman 09-18-2013 06:42 PM

Hansen was Vancouver's 3rd highest scorer last year, he isn't just a throw in. Big, big pass from a Canucks POV. Edler is the only offensive minded top 4 D-Man on the 'Nucks swapping him for Gorges would be pretty illogical.

big no for the habs no need for Hansen, that leaves a HUGE overpayment for edler

Arcade 09-18-2013 06:46 PM

Even if we're not talking about value, this trade doesn't even make sense for either team.

JayKing 09-18-2013 06:49 PM

Nope. We need Plekanec more than Edler.

NoShowWilly 09-18-2013 06:51 PM

only forward im interested in on montreal is Eller. really want to have a Danish line

Jensen Eller Hansen

obviously there are others i'd take on my team in a second but i just really like the look of that line.

I very strongly disagree with the bolded.

Hansen is good in every aspect of the game, still young and on a good contract. Perfect addition IMO.

nuckfan insk 09-18-2013 06:54 PM

Eller and gorges are two fits for Vancouver

Whats with these Montreal homers making these stupid proposals. First Lu and Horvat for a worse goalie and now this?

Sorry Montreal fans but you should quit now.

Mike Gillis hangs up the phone. Marc Begevin spits at that offer.

Montreal would love to get on some Kessler but no way Canucks would let him go. Canucks would love to get their hands on P.K Subban Montreal hears his name in a trade Marc most likely hang up that phone.

To Mtl- Edler, Schroeder
To Van- Eller, Gallagher

or

To Mtl- Bieksa
To Van- Eller

Value favors Montreal. Wouldn't do it from Vancouver's standpoint. Not sure Habs can afford to lose their best C though. Maybe Briere could slide back to the middle.

Bourne Endeavor 09-18-2013 08:28 PM

Absolutely no interest in moving Hansen. Hell, I am not particularly keen on moving Edler these days. That said, if we do trade the latter, it will be for a scoring winger. So to save yourself the trouble. Unless you are willing to include Pacioretty or Gallagher in a trade. Vancouver is not interested in any Edler deals.

knoxdown 09-18-2013 08:39 PM

I respond with Eller + Thrower for Edler.

Why would we do this? Thrower is no use to us, as he is a future prospect on a team still cup competitive. While I like Eller, he is not the centrepiece in an Edler trade.

Luck 6 09-18-2013 08:59 PM

I don't see how this makes either team better, and Vancouver gets killed value wise.
