Had to look up about half of those Caps numbers. Funtimes.

Hivemind 09-23-2013 09:36 AM

That defense...

Raikkonen 09-23-2013 10:03 AM

Why don't they test better RW with Erat-Perreault? Wilson at least...

Defense... No Oleksy even?

SimplySensational 09-23-2013 10:15 AM

At least we get to watch Laich, Grabo, and Brouwer.

Over/under 2.5 fights tonight? I'm going with the over. We're bringing Volpatti, Latta, Rechlisz, Byers, Wilson, and Mitchell. Not only are all of them willing to drop the mitts, they're all competing for roster spots. Only downside is that while the Bruins have plenty of willing pugilists, most of them are safely on the NHL roster.

RandyHolt 09-23-2013 12:41 PM

Under. B's regulars have no reason to dance with a greenhorn. Lose lose situation.

You forgot McPhee. It is preseason.

Katie Carrera ‏@kcarrera 2m
Correction to what I tweeted this morning for #Caps D pairs. Hillen-Strachan; Schmidt-Carrick; Cajkovsky-Wey.

or Vogel is saying its still the same as earlier:

Mike Vogel ‏@VogsCaps 7m
#Caps defense: Hillen-Carrick, Schmidt-Strachan, Cajkowsky-Wey. Holtby in goal backed up by Grubauer.

Would like to see Carrick and Schmidt together.

n3ss 09-23-2013 05:50 PM

That roster sure is something.

PuckBuddy 09-23-2013 05:51 PM

Even for a pre-season game, that is a weird weird lineup.

CAPITAL PUNISHMENT 09-23-2013 06:05 PM

Not televised?

usiel 09-23-2013 06:06 PM

NHL Network.

Marshall 09-23-2013 06:09 PM

This one feels like it will get rough.

Oh, good. Jack Edwards.

Cush 09-23-2013 06:09 PM

hooray, its Jack Edwards

Laich and Grabo out on a 4 on 4 together, errrrrr either he doesn't know Grabo well or he doesn't know Laich well.

Liberati0n* 09-23-2013 06:15 PM

I love Jack Edwards. Looking forward to watching Grabovski.

Read a week back that Oates really likes Mitchell, thinks he can be a solid two-way player

Hivemind 09-23-2013 06:18 PM

First time I've seen hybrid icing change an icing call.

capsfan528 09-23-2013 06:19 PM

anybody got a link?

RandyHolt 09-23-2013 06:19 PM

Erat had a nice shift. a spin breakout and a lot of nice passes on the tape

Hivemind 09-23-2013 06:20 PM

I think that was just a bad call. Rechlicz was going to get there first.

Great shift by Erat-Perreault-Mitchell. Good to see Mitchell not lag behind those two even if he would obviously fill a different role.
