Therrien also says Tinordi has also made the team, will open the season on 23-man roster

JonathanToews19clutc* 09-26-2013 10:51 PM

Great news!!!!

Price My Man Crush 09-26-2013 10:52 PM

Congrats boys! Really happy. They deserve it.

deandebean 09-26-2013 10:53 PM

ok, who are the odd men out?

IcemanTBI 09-26-2013 10:53 PM

Well deserved!

Phil Parent 09-26-2013 10:53 PM

Well deserving, made more easy a decision because of injuries.

But they DESERVE to be on the fully healthy lineup. Moen doesn't. Bouillon can be a good reserve in the press box.

When is the waiver draft / day when they have to hand in their 23-men roster?

I wouldn't waive Moen because somebody would pick him up for sure and I'd rather NOT have him pop up on a division rival being pissed that we demoted him from his 3rd line job down to the 4th and then ****-canned him altogether.

Et le But 09-26-2013 10:54 PM

So how many games until the fanbase turns on them?

ForeverTherrien 09-26-2013 10:54 PM

Can I gloat now or does that come later?

My boy Tinordi!!! :D

Beaker 09-26-2013 10:55 PM

They definitely deserved it. Bournival has been putting in alot of work and effort since rookie camp.

My Velouria 09-26-2013 10:56 PM

Therrien better not waste Bournival on the 4th line and Tinordi on the 3rd pairing with Bouillon.

If Parros is ready to go, probably White.

If Murray is ready to go, Boullion

4th: Prust-Bournival-Moen
Extra:Parros

Dcore:

Gorges-Subban
Markov-Diaz
Murray-Tinordi
Boullion

IR:Emelin

JohnLennon 09-26-2013 10:57 PM

What do you guys think will be the starting lineup?

I'm thinking something like this:

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Briere
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Prust-Bournival-White or Moen-White-Prust

On defense, it gets trickier:

Subban-Gorges
Markov-Murray
Diaz-Bouillon

or

Subban-Gorges
Markov-Diaz
Murray-Tinordi

I honestly don't see Therrien scratching Diaz or Bouillon for Tinordi, it doesn't seem like his style. But I certainly think Tinordi has earned his spot on the roster. I'm really curious to see how they will fit Tinordi and Bournival into the lineup, if they even do.

Confirmed

Dumont and Beaulieu to Hamilton.

donghabs98 09-26-2013 10:57 PM

This is great news. They deserve it

Stoneburg 09-26-2013 10:58 PM

I just think back to all those that said Tinordi played poorly in London and the Memorial Cup. HA!

I always knew they were wrong.

Hope Of Glory 09-26-2013 10:58 PM

Nice to hear, the worked really hard. Really good news.

Could that possibly open the door for a minor trade before the season or when the injured guys come back, to deal away a vet?

ChoseLa 09-26-2013 11:01 PM

Marty McG and Ron were discussing that there is too many players to start the season; is there a trade incoming?

SnapVirus 09-26-2013 11:02 PM

Wow dumont on waiver. Hed probably on his way out!

Might be too slow. I think we'll have to endure Diaz with Markov. :(

habs03 09-26-2013 11:05 PM

Don't think Bournival is going to see much action, unless a move is made, or someone else gets hurt, I think he'll be sent down when Parros is ready to play. well have Bournival,White,Moen, Prust, Parros, for the 4th line.

Tinordi is a tough one, I'm guess he slots in on the 3rd pair with Bouillon, but what happens with Murray who said he is ready and able to play game 1. Sit Bouillon? But not much mobility with a Murray Tinordi pairing, unless you put Tinordi with Markov and Daiz with Murray while sitting bouillon.

Hannibal 09-26-2013 11:05 PM

Opening day lineup:

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Briere
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Moen-Prust-Parros

Markov-Gorges
Tinordi-Subban
Murray-Bouillon

Price

Enough toughness to answer Leafs.

Hullois 09-26-2013 11:05 PM

I bet Murray won't play in the first game but he will replace whoever is bad for the first couple of games between Tinordi, Bouillon and Diaz.

CanadianSharks 09-26-2013 11:05 PM

Well deserved for Bournival and Tinner! I'm glad. Hopefully this means a trade is imminent.
