Admirals for the defense: Dan Hamhuis and Andrew Hutchinson have both logged playing time in the NHL. Ryan Suter and Kevin Klein are knocking on the door. Greg Zanon is also in the mix. All were defensemen for the Admirals last season.

Brad Tiley, a veteran 33-year-old defenseman for the Admirals, gave the youngsters high praise.

“In our year-end meetings Brad told us that our young defensemen were unbelievable,” Noel said. “He thinks we have five guys here who are going to play in the NHL. That’s a pretty good compliment.”
