Biron needs to be traded or sent down.

He's just done. No excuse for the third goal, a high school goalie should have stopped that. We should be winning this game, or at the very least tied. Not sure if calling up Talbot is the answer, or if there's anyone else on the market via trade or a FA signing, but Biron playing 20 games this season is going to hurt this team.

What's your thoughts on calling up Talbot vs a potential trade?

I Eat Crow 10-12-2013 08:48 PM

I'll be the first to say it, bring in Ilya Bryzgalov to back up Hank.

LittleKev6D9 10-12-2013 08:50 PM

Just saying. Talbot looked good his past 2 starts for the Pack.

With the way we are playing defense I think he would get lit up too.

Callagraves 10-12-2013 08:54 PM

Rangers hold the blues to 5 shots in the 2nd period

Biron gives up 3 goals.

LOL WHAT

i'd like to give cam talbot the job i think he's ready. he's modeled his game after lundqvist under allaires' tutelage

otherwise guys out there include

jose theodore

johan hedberg

bryzgalov (no way)

rick dipietro

and mathieu garon who ive always liked. just signed in russia but wondering if he's got an out clause

nyr2k2 10-12-2013 09:20 PM

Talbot is ready. Bring him up.

Malcolm and Missiaen can split time in Hartford.

I'll call on DiPietro and raise you a Valiquette. We can play this game all night.

Bryz was shelled in front of a horrible Philly defense. The first few games would indicate the same thing here, but something has to give, right?

silverfish 10-12-2013 09:34 PM

Dan Blackburn and his two blockers over Biron any day.

Would also take Bryz, and DP, and Mike Dunham, and Jamie McLennan.

Does Kevin Weekes want back in net?

Biron's five-hole is crazy hilarious.

trilobyte 10-12-2013 10:13 PM

Be decisive, Rangers organization.
Bring up Talbot. He did look consistently quite sharp in pre-season.
It's time to send Biron away and get on with the succession.

AV on whether there's concern about Biron's ability to start 20 games: “That’s a good question," says he wants to analyze tape

rkhum 10-12-2013 10:51 PM

I thought the last part of 2012 post all star break was the beginning of Biron's end.
Recall how bad he was that March? Yea I thought he was unfortunately becoming washed up then.

Kovalev27 10-12-2013 10:52 PM

What do u need to analyze?

He COST u a game tonight 3 goals on 5 shots in a period u dominated

Backups need to give u a chance to win that's all. Not steal games not be game changers just make the routine stops and give u a chance to win a game. Biron can't do that. He's a joke

And the reason a bad game in San Jose turned into an absolute debacle was biron.

Carlos Ranger 10-12-2013 10:53 PM

I'd sign Bryz while he's still available, the guy has a lot more talent than Biron at this stage of his career.

Savant 10-12-2013 10:58 PM

Biron is done and worthless. He can't play 20 games and in an Olympic year they need some one who can. Shockingly I think Bryzgalov is the answer, because they cannot afford to trade assets to get a backup and Talbot is not ready either.

Swedish Fish 10-12-2013 11:02 PM

I really like Biron as a person and a goalie, but after last season and this game i agree...he was a great backup to Lundqvist 2 years ago but the guy just looks awful.

Callahan Auto 10-12-2013 11:04 PM

I'm usually not one for kneejerk reactions but Biron has absolutely nothing for this team right now and we need someone to take a game or two off Hank's schedule. It's beyod bad luck, it's beyond bad defense in front of him... he just looks awful. I wouldn't mind grabbing a veteran and I'm also fine with letting Talbot get a look. Bryz has had his issues but he's never put up a save percentage lower than 900. That's what I'd be looking for in a backup.

trilobyte 10-12-2013 11:05 PM

Realizing that Biron is not adequate is not a keejerk reaction whatsoever.

Sounds good to me.

Biron's only use left is his puckhandling. It isn't enough. Give Talbot a shot, I would imagine he'd do well under Lundqvists tutoring.

Aufheben 10-12-2013 11:20 PM

Where's Chad Johnson when ya need him?

Talbot is 26, has been in the minors for 3 years, and looked solid in the preseason. He's not going to be any more ready to back up Lundqvist than he currently is.

Kovalev27 10-12-2013 11:27 PM

Talbots ready

Aufheben 10-12-2013 11:30 PM

Bryzgalov?

Just bring Talbot up; seriously, how much worse could he be?

GFiP* 10-13-2013 12:06 AM

Biron is shot, need Talbot
