Rangers @ Blues: Better?

Better

vladmyir111 10-12-2013 09:35 PM

Look at the bright side Lundqvist was 16-17 saves

theJUMPER 10-12-2013 09:35 PM

3 games in a row where the goalie was pulled.

I wonder when the last time that happened.

Would be a good trivia question for Sam & Joe.

M Gaz 10-12-2013 09:35 PM

Maybe they ate a Snickers before the game.

Kreider 10-12-2013 09:35 PM

I feel somewhat confident about Wednesday

Anyone know if they'll stop in NY or go straight to DC?
I think some time back home could do them some good

abev 10-12-2013 09:36 PM

Not happy. Not upset. Slowly trending in the right direction.

ImIdaho 10-12-2013 09:36 PM

I am a Mets fan.

I am a Giants fan.

I am a Rangers fan.

..It hurts.

Blueshirt Believer 10-12-2013 09:36 PM

Yeah, I can't get too mad about this. Collectively the Rangers played well. Certain individuals were pretty piss poor though.

I expect some shakeups leading up to the Caps game.

The game is Wednesday so I'm assuming they're going back to NY.

pwoz 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

I've been pissed, but no panic (yet)... but now that 5 games have gone by...

They better be going home, no reason to stay on the road.

Ugh...I don't want to write off Dorsett just yet, but he has a LOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go before he becomes Brandon Prust.

I don't want to hear any more comparisons to Prust until Dorsett starts to positively contribute.

Killem Dafoe 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

not too shabby boys

segmentation fault 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

**** this team.

Abooch68 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

Stop in NY. The biggest thing is 21 goals against in 3 games. It used to take the opposition 12 games to score 21 goals.

Kel Varnsen 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

Sad that a 5-3 loss could be considered "better"

trilobyte 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

Definitely better.

On the bright side the game started at 8.

someone stole hank 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

lundy with all those shots and made some good saves other than the goal maybe it woke him up

silverfish 10-12-2013 09:37 PM

Better.

I liked the way we looked for a lot of the game. Still some mental mistakes that SHOULD be taken care of as the season goes on and the system gets put into place. This including Fast and Staal miscue, and Stepan's terrible turnover in the offensive zone that led to the Backes (LOL) goal.

If Biron makes a big save, who knows what happens in this game.

What is disconcerting, still, is that the team straight up quit - again - after that fifth goal. It was all Blues after that.

Dorsett needs to learn that he has a ****ing target on his back by the refs, and play his game accordingly. And if he's going to talk and play a big game, he needs to back it up. Reeve was playing like a crazy person all night, and with Asham out, and DD not backing up his ****, nobody stood up to the plate to take him on.

**** you, Marty.

OverTheCap 10-12-2013 09:38 PM

Well, they didn't get blown out of the building, so that's an improvement.

I think we can put to rest the notion that Dorsett will be a replacement for Prust. So many momentum-sucking penalties, just brutal.

Affinity 10-12-2013 09:38 PM

Step in the right direction. Forecheck, PP and Richards all looked pretty great. Defense and goaltending was the weak spot tonight... And Dorsett, holy ****.

Championship* 10-12-2013 09:38 PM

One step closer....to Ekblad...or perhaps the Deutschland Dangler...

TollefsenFan 10-12-2013 09:38 PM

Dorsett should be replaced. 2 offensive zone penalites are not okey. And that Third one didnt look good aswell.

Raspewtin 10-12-2013 09:38 PM

I'm infuriated because this was such a winnable game. But I guess I have to be humble and accept that they "weren't terrible" for now, I suppose.
