Hey

Friday nights game against Boston, he played ridicolously soft. Got knocked off the puck to easily, didnt try alot in the defensive zone, okay backchecking. Hes got the tools for sure, but hes not using them. Granted it is preseason and he doesnt want to get hurt or whatever, but the effort wasnt there at all. Thats the only preseason game I attended, but my dad went to two other ones, and he agreed that Audette needs to play alot better to get ice time/stay with the team. Afterwards I went down to see my brother in the locker room area, and Audette walked by. Man, hes looks short on the ice, and hes real short off of it.

Take care

Yeah not a big Audette fan myself. If Gainey and Julien think they have enough players without him, I could see them dealing him. Because unlike Brisebois, Audette has still not shown enough fire to prove he wants to commit and bounce back. He can sweet talk all the journalists if he wants, but rest assure he'll have to bring it up a notch if he wants to remain on the top-2 lines. So far Bulis, Ribeiro and Hossa have all showed good and conclusive stuff during pre-season that would normally grant them quality ice time when the season starts. We're still waiting for Audette to bring in his "A" game.
