NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

I felt good going into the game and just wanted to be hard and take pride in my own zone. Me and Dan were saying that we had to have a lot more communication with the forwards today.
We were a lot more confident in our zone and more patient as opposed to running into the corners and running out of position. Itís a good game to build on. Now we have to find some consistency.
- Ryan McDonagh

It was more on face-offs I took a step out. My positioning on the ĎDí shots was a little bit better. A couple times in the early games I got caught deep in my net.
Thatís the way I play, but thereís been a lot of deflections, (so) you want to come out a little bit more, and today it worked for me. A lot of it was I just felt like I knew what was going to happen.
The structure we had in our own end was so good, and the way we played helped me a lot.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We played well in LA to beat that team. We played two pretty good periods in St. Louis, ran out of gas, and we were able to get a day off in our environment.
Then have two good practices and come here and put our best foot forward. I thought our guys competed real hard, which is the key to any game, and we did a lot of right things with the puck.
And when we didnít have the puck, we did a lot of the right things. So weíll take our first win in Eastern time, and go from there.
- Alain Vigneault

LGR!

It will suck if they break their win-less streak vs. us.

Jabroni 10-18-2013 10:54 PM

LGR! Let's get a streak going starting now.

Zuccarello scores.

Loffen 10-18-2013 10:56 PM

The boys should go into the game with a "kick them while they're down" attitude. NJ looks like a frail club right now. Their game against Ottawa was a real stinker.

Get it done.

In the end I wouldn't be surprised. Hockey's different here after all. lulz

Bullseyes 10-18-2013 10:58 PM

Lets go Rangers! I don't want them winning their first game vs. the Rangers.

Aufheben 10-18-2013 10:59 PM

We have the same amount of points as Columbus/Washington, they're playing each other tomorrow. No 3 points plzkthx.

Silence Of The Plams 10-18-2013 11:01 PM

Please win NY

JeffMangum 10-18-2013 11:01 PM

Better ****ing win. LGR.

Bird Law 10-18-2013 11:09 PM

Beat the NJ Gary Glitters, plox.

I Eat Crow 10-18-2013 11:15 PM

Pyatt on the first line while Fast is on the 4th line? Excuse me while I go throw up.

Utterly ridiculous, hope they can win despite the injuries and awful line combos.

SERE 24 10-18-2013 11:48 PM

Would be nice to get a streak going. Gonna be at the Canes/Isles game though. I think Staal and Brassard score.

They already did, now it's the Bon Jovi song "this is our house"

Killem Dafoe 10-18-2013 11:53 PM

We got this.

Even with Pyatt on the first line.

FromTheSide 10-19-2013 12:11 AM

the devils will continue picking off where they left off last season. On the way to another 10 game losing streak

Ail 10-19-2013 12:36 AM

Don't lose this one. It will ruin my weekend.

PromNite 10-19-2013 01:29 AM

Keeping the Devils winless would please me greatly.

Anderss 10-19-2013 02:00 AM

We will win.

That's all folks

5 4 Fighting 10-19-2013 02:01 AM

Let's ****ing go boys! Gonna be the first win against Fire crotch tomorrow night in his unattractive New Jersey. (Pun intended) LGR!

TigerJack 10-19-2013 03:49 AM

Zucc needs to be on the board in this game. No excuses.

Tanner Glass 10-19-2013 06:10 AM

People complaining about line combos?
Just like Wednesday

Wamsutta 10-19-2013 06:39 AM

I wish they were starting Brodeur. He suck and it's wonderful to watch. I see this as a 2-1 game, either way. LGR.

Callahan out since then. They should really move Zucc to the 1st line.

On the other hand, Miller-Stepan-Pyatt sounds even worse.

BlueShirts88 10-19-2013 07:20 AM

Lets go RANGERS!!!

I say this ends 3-1 NY

Osminator 10-19-2013 07:33 AM

They better prove the effort vs the Caps wasn't a fluke...

silverfish 10-19-2013 07:47 AM

Blegh. My friends suck.

I wanted to do a night in the city yesterday, since I was there already, and they all went MIA and did their own thing. One of our good buddies is home from Miami this weekend, and apparently tonight is the big night in the city :(

Hopefully I can catch most of the game. But if they want to do dinner in the city, and then a night out, I will surely be pushing for any bar with a television!

LGR
