Updates, including the status of Hartnell and Lecavalier, will be made later.

Practices to be held at 10:30 a.m. TUE and WED in Voorhees.

Edit: lines listed above are from changes made at Tuesday's practice.

Hartnell-Newbury-Rosehill comprise the fifth line at Tuesday's practice. Gill-Meszaros is the fourth pairing.

Win this freakin game. I will be there.

Beef Invictus 10-22-2013 09:47 AM

Lundqvist has sucked so far this year, so of course he will play out of his mind against Philly as always.

Hiesenberg 10-22-2013 10:59 AM

Whoa....Berube blowing up the lines:

Vinny/Giroux/Raffl
McGinn/Schenn/Voracek
Read/Couturier/Simmonds
Hall/Talbot/Rinaldo

Extra:

Hartnell/Newbury/Rosehill

Beef Invictus 10-22-2013 11:07 AM

Lecavalier has been awful on FOs so I'm open to this.

I can dig this. I thought Vinny said he preferred RW, though?

MiamiScreamingEagles 10-22-2013 11:25 AM

Could be something that is preventive and cautionary...

Quote:

The only way things could get any worse for the Rangers is if Henrik Lundqvist were injured.

Well …

Lundqvist skipped practice for a second straight day Tuesday because he is dealing with a “minor issue,” according to the Rangers, and the goaltender’s status is “day-to-day” ahead of Thursday night’s game in Philadelphia.

Lundqvist was on the ice in Greenburgh before practice without pads, apparently testing out new skates, but he did not come on the ice with Alain Vigneault and the full group.

Still hurt. Vinny is ?? for Thursday too.

Skating on the fifth line. Not likely to play in this game but that isn't unexpected. The time frame for a return was stretched to two weeks, starting here in the most optimistic setting.

Hiesenberg 10-22-2013 11:29 AM

Streit is on the top PP unit, Timonen & Gus on the 2nd.

It's like Berube reads these boards

Let's hope Vinny and G find some chemistry.

It won't take an out of his mind performance to keep the Flyers to two goals or less if Philly continues to generate as few chances as they did in the first 8 games.

sa cyred 10-22-2013 12:13 PM

I actually feel confident about this game. Honestly I did not the past 8.

Agreed, hoping Vinny takes some of the attention off of G. He seems smothered lately.

Hiesenberg 10-22-2013 01:40 PM

Vinny is a possession player, similar to Jagr. Smartest move so far by Berube. If he can recreate some of the offense that Hartnell/Giroux/Jagr had, it'll snow ball into the remaining lines.

This is depressingly true.

SolidSnakeUS 10-22-2013 01:42 PM

Honestly, if they keep the same lines, I could see a goal by Raffl coming up.

Flyerss 10-22-2013 01:53 PM

Vinny should play with Schenn and they let Giroux and Voracek figure it out

dats81 10-22-2013 02:12 PM

At least we can't say Berube wasn't trying everything possible to get them going...
