Not good if Pekka is out for any length of time.

Top 6 Spaling 10-23-2013 10:05 PM

If he's out for a month or more, kiss this season goodbye.

Bring on the reign of King Hut.

Let's be wretched for Rhinehart?

Gnashville 10-23-2013 10:14 PM

When it rains it pours:shakehead:rant:

Although the video of Magnus Hellberg getting the call was cool to see

drwpreds 10-23-2013 10:17 PM

Seriously, does someone have a voodoo curse on us???? :help:

Smilodon 10-23-2013 10:20 PM

Are we certain Pekka is injured?

AintLifeGrand 10-23-2013 10:23 PM

If Peks is out for an extended period of time, I would be down with trading a 1st, Hellberg, and Ekholm to Buffalo for Ryan Miller and Thomas Ennis

Per Josh Cooper, Hutton practiced today, Pekka didn't. Maybe he's not hurt, it could be something else but Hellberg isn't getting the call because of Hutton.

INDhockeyfan 10-23-2013 10:28 PM

We need to wait for more info. Pekka didn't practice while Hutton did so the assumption is Rinne. There is also the possibility of illness or personal emergency rather then injury as well. All we do know is Hellberg got called up.

AdmiralsFan24 10-23-2013 10:30 PM

Yeah, probably premature on my part. Wish there was a way for me to edit out the injury report tag.

worstfaceoffmanever 10-23-2013 10:30 PM

This about sums up how I feel about this news:

If we're calling up Hellberg, this is an issue that could keep Rinne out for at least one game. That automatically makes it very bad news for us.

I don't see how it could be an injury if Rinne played the entire game last night.

Gnashville 10-23-2013 10:35 PM

Let's hope it's just a stomach bug or something personal in a good way.

one starter injured /=/ voodoo curse

utkpred 10-23-2013 10:43 PM

Josh Cooper requested an interview from Pekka today but was told he had already left. I am assuming this a family emergency/sickness and nothing to do with his hip. He looked perfectly fine last night.

kypredsfan 10-23-2013 10:45 PM

Very surprising. He just put on a hell of a performance last night.

You don't think we've had a lot of bad things happen lately??? The whole injury-riddled debacle of a season last year??? Really if you think about it, not a whole heck of a lot has gone right for this franchise since knocking Detroit out of the playoffs, starting with the Radulov suspension...

But again, maybe this is all premature and it's not an injury...

Really people have said that since Vokoun was out and Mason came in and took over and played very well.

Heck 3 seasons ago Rinne got injured in the first game and was out a month and Lindback came in and we still made the playoffs.

Very helpful, thank you.

If it is an injury ....why can't we have nice things, and if it is an emergency I hope everything is alright for him.

Yep, and I will say I feel a heck of a lot better about Hutton now than I did a month ago.......

And at least its against the team he just got a W against?

Paranoid Android 10-24-2013 12:23 AM

That video of Hellberg was great. You don't see that kind of stuff taped, ever.

Not gonna bother speculating on Rinne. Just happy for Hellberg

TootooTrain 10-24-2013 12:36 AM

If he's not put on the IR, all is well. I'll give it 24hrs before panicking.

Gotta be a great feeling for Hellberg though.
