And hopefully we see a little bit of this from Luongo...

Hansen is also out.

Their bottom 6 is bad right now because of injuries, and apparently Tom Sestito is on the 3rd line?

Blues should be embarrassed if they lose this game.

MattyMo35 10-25-2013 01:24 PM

I'm not going to be able to see this one as I'll be on the road to Nashville for tomorrow night's game. I'll be listening on the radio though. Go Blues. I'll guess a 3-2 OT win.

You can always lose to a hot goalie.

Boombox Generation 10-25-2013 01:29 PM

Wife and I be attending this one tonight. Looking forward to a good game.

Yeah neither of their goalie's numbers are that impressive.

Tired, beat up team vs. well-rested team.

Blues have to win.

Steve Doan 10-25-2013 01:31 PM

I hope we get to see a lot of Paajarvi tonight. He looked decent in his first game nothing spectacular, but his speed was on display and really had me impressed. Hopefully the fans get a good "Luongo" chant going.

Hey blues fans. I'm seriously pissed at the schedule. This is a great rivalry and the nhl schedules 7 days off for the blues and a jersey to st.louis back to back to end the 7 game trip. This one could be ugly for the canucks. They already looked gassed last night and were lucky to win. I expect the blues to destroy the canucks 5-1. Our lineup also looks echl quality right now with the injuries. Hansen, booth, weise , burrows all out

STL Blues Fan 10-25-2013 01:33 PM

Go Blues!!! I'm ready for this game after thr long break!!!

Reign Nateo 10-25-2013 01:38 PM

Just a note on the line-up, Hansen, Booth, Burrows, Jensen. Schroeder and Weise are all likely out with injuries. And Dalpe is in Utica. Not exactly sure what Tortarella is going to do exactly with the line-up, but my guess is this:

D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Kesler
Higgins - Santorelli - Kassian
Pelletier - Richardson - Sestito
Archibald - Welsh - Weber/Alberts

Those should be the players involved anyway... We're obviously looking pretty thin and coming off a back-to-back to face a very solid and rested team at home doesn't bode well for us! But here's to a good game and a good season to the Blues. I actually have a personal friend on the Blues so follow your team closely.

Cheers.

Yeah the schedule is pretty dumb. I know it benefits us but we don't really like it either. Having a week off in between games really makes zero sense.

Yeah, the schedule does kind of suck. I hate having seven days off between games. Of course the guys are more rested but I think having games more regularly keeps the guys on their toes. They can hold practices but I think long breaks can make a team a little rusty coming back.

EDIT: But yes, I do understand that this benefits the Blues. My point is having a week off between games isn't good for that team either.

PocketNines 10-25-2013 01:45 PM

Go Blues! Let's get a hockey-puck victory!

Oh, the Blues season resumes tonight? ABOUT TIME!

Dolph Ziggler 10-25-2013 01:55 PM

Glad the All-Star break finally over.

All-Star break? Hell, I think they just got in from Sochi!

5-2 Blues

Petro w/ 2. Book it.

Steve Doan 10-25-2013 02:29 PM

Stewart, Pietro, and MPS will get their first goals tonight

bleedblue1223 10-25-2013 02:36 PM

I think the Roy line will create some excitement, not sure how long it will take for them to be productive. I think Roy and Tarasenko could work well together as Roy is a better scorer/shooter as some think and Tarasenko has shown improved playmaking skills this season.

frostyflo 10-25-2013 02:58 PM

read alot about MPS, Roy, Vlad and Stewart but its the Nucks people, all eyes on Steener!!
goal and assist for #20 is my guess.
go Blues!

Dolph Ziggler 10-25-2013 03:08 PM

I think at full strength we're a better team than Vancouver.

They are banged up and on the last part of a 7 game road stretch. No excuses not to win.

The one thing I absolutely do not want to see is the team come out flat.

bleedblue1223 10-25-2013 03:22 PM

Steen could legitimately get 5 points tonight when you combine his current play and how he usually kills Vancouver.

rumrokh 10-25-2013 03:36 PM

Blues come out a little rusty, but control the game most of the first half, fights pepper the second period, the Blues let off the gas, Vancouver gets a lucky goal that makes everybody nervous, the Blues close it out strong.

Bluesman91 10-25-2013 03:40 PM

Wait hockey season is still happening? God it feels like it's been forever even though it's only been a week. Well, Let's Go Blues!

Todds Chiropractory 10-25-2013 03:44 PM

This is the Canucks 7th game on the road in 11 days, and they are missing 6 forwards to injury. Most of us on the Nucks board are expecting a Blues blowout tonight, anything less we will be happy with.

Alklha 10-25-2013 03:49 PM

We should win this easily. That fills me with nothing but fear
