GAME DAY THREAD MUSIC
"November Rain" by Guns N' Roses

Flyersfan1493 10-29-2013 11:00 PM

I'd guess Mason gets this one and Emery gets the game on Saturday.

Flyerfan4life 10-29-2013 11:06 PM

i cant help but feel a losing streak coming back up if they give this game to Emery...

but i guess even Mason still cant be the only guy to show up and expect a win.

this team is soooo infuriating..

Hiesenberg 10-30-2013 07:55 AM

Negative...no practice today.

This game I see it being very ugly. 4 or 5 goals given up.

BernieParent 10-30-2013 07:59 AM

blah blah blah 60-minute effort

blah blah blah get the bounces

blah blah blah believe in ourselves

just blah

Burakovsky95* 10-30-2013 11:49 AM

Just a heads up Ovie isn't 100% a go for Friday. The dreaded "upper-body" injury.

Major trade incoming. Half the team traded to Vancouver for the Sedins and Kassian, since he plays "Flyers hockey."

Beef Invictus 10-30-2013 12:59 PM

Please win.

This team gets crappy music until they can win with a full effort. They are no longer worthy even of Pitbull.

flyershockey 10-30-2013 01:03 PM

Will be watching with a couple of buddies who are Caps fans, so a win is necessary if only for that reason.

I should rephrase that though, I have a couple of friends who know who Oveckin is.

Need more of this

You know, since it is the goal song now.

Hiesenberg 10-30-2013 01:13 PM

Meszaros has 18 PIMs in 6 games.

Rosehill has 21 in 7, Rinaldo has 22 in 11 and Simmonds has 20 in 11.

How does Meszaros have 18 PIMs in 6 games?

He picked up 14 of those minutes with 90 seconds left in the third period of the game against Phoenix:

18:12 Phi Andrej Meszaros (Holding - 2 min) drawn by Shane Doan
18:12 Phi Andrej Meszaros (Unsportsmanlike Conduct - 2 min)
18:12 Phi Andrej Meszaros (Misconduct - 10 min)

dats81 10-30-2013 01:17 PM

The team has shown improvement since Berube has taken over but they are still mentally fragile and tend to fall back into bad habits as soon as things are not going their way.

They can win this game which does not actually mean they will do it. Anything can happen.... good or bad.

One positive is that they haven't been blown out (knock on wood). They've been in every game, just can't score enough to put games away.

That makes sense.

What as the misconduct for?

You can thank Mason on that.

Yeah, it's nice that the Flyers have a goaltender that keeps them in games. Poor Mason. He probably thought coming to Philly he would finally be playing for a playoff team.

Justified 10-30-2013 07:58 PM

a friday night game? that doesnt seem to happen that often.

Striiker 10-30-2013 09:18 PM

Flyers are winning this game on Friday. They looked great for the first 30 min on Tuesday and then they just fell apart. Hopefully they use that as motivation and play like they did against the Islanders and a bit against the Ducks. If they can bounce back from that tough loss and dominate the Caps then I can see them going on a little streak.

Garbage Goal 10-30-2013 09:27 PM

I don't even want to watch right now, but I will because I don't follow any other sports and because I have no life.

Having a tough enough time with life as is, don't need the Flyers pissing me off every two or three nights.
