St. Louis-Philadelphia-Buffalo

Let's go crazy. Let's get nuts.

To St. Louis:
Ryan Miller
Sean Couturier

To Philadelphia:
Jaroslav Halak
Maxim Lapierre
Chris Stewart
STL 2014 Second Round Pick

To Buffalo:
Steve Mason
STL 2014 First Round Pick
PHI 2014 Third Round Pick

Alklha 11-01-2013 12:05 PM

That is brutal for the Blues.

Jaro, Lapierre, Stewart, a 1st & 2nd for Couturier and a modest upgrade in goal? Not a chance.

Daley Tarasenkshow 11-01-2013 12:06 PM

Don't see it happening.

dookie88 11-01-2013 12:07 PM

The Flyers essentially trade Couturier and a first for Stewart.
Not going to happen.

Oh btw please keep that sissy Lapierre away from my team, thanks.

Cootsfanclub 11-01-2013 12:08 PM

I don't think any of the three teams want to do this.

Couturier and a third for Stewart and a second. And Lapierre, who can fill the Talbot role. And Halak for the rest of the year with a chance to re-sign him and play a 50-30 split with Emery, which is much better for him.

...I don't want Lapierre on my team either.

Starat327 11-01-2013 12:25 PM

The flyers are not interested in trading Steve Mason. For the first time in a very, very, long time, goaltending is not an issue for the flyers, and is actually the team's one bright spot. Mason wont likely keep up this level of play throughout the year, but we'll see what happens.

Im not against trading Coots at all. But if he leaves, it should be in a package for a defenseman, not a winger, and especially not one in the mold that we already have an abundance of.

pretttty much

danglzzz 11-01-2013 12:33 PM

Stl gets bent over hard.

That's a hell of a lot going away from the Blues for a small upgrade in goal (not a problem area for the Blues right now, particularly with Allen in the AHL) and Couturier. I like Couts, but that's way too high a price.

Stizzle 11-01-2013 12:43 PM

Why would the Flyers ever do that?

Flyerss 11-01-2013 12:46 PM

I wouldn't trade Mason for that package let alone adding couts and adding another pick

Sabres will get two picks and young goalie who playing great and still very young and have great pot for Miller, they're the only winner in this deal

SabresFanNorthPortFL 11-01-2013 12:52 PM

From a Buffalo POV....

We'll take Sean Couturier and even it up with Philly to do it, no sense adding St Louis.

Miller/ Ennis for Coots. Salary dump as neccesary

As a Sabres fan, I'd take that deal yesterday.

Miller for Mason, a 2014 1st, and a 2014 3rd?

Yes please.

BlueDream 11-01-2013 12:58 PM

Isn't this guy a Blues fan? You just ripped off your own team. Lol, awful.

I think it's a headscratcher for Philly & StL and a no-brainer for the Sabres.

Dolph Ziggler 11-01-2013 01:17 PM

At the moment, I'm not sure I even want to trade Halak away and get Miller.

The rest of this.......

Garbage Goal 11-01-2013 01:25 PM

Considering how much is moving around I'll just comment on Philly's side.

1) Why the hell would we swap Mason for Halak when Mason is playing exceedingly well and our only bright spot?

2) Why the hell would we trade Couturier for Stewart and Lapierre?

erderuft 11-01-2013 01:30 PM

Jowsa. That's horrible for the Blues.

I'm sorry, but that is not at all enticing to the Flyers. It isn't even close. We don't need a goaltender.

zytz 11-01-2013 02:03 PM

wow STL gets rammed so hard

Beerz 11-01-2013 02:34 PM

Buffalo makes out pretty well here...tho...i really have no interest in Mason.

bleedblue1223 11-01-2013 05:12 PM

So bad for Blues.

LOLKarlsson* 11-01-2013 05:29 PM

Terrible for St.Louis. No way we do that. St.Louis thinks they can win the cup this year, and Miller would just be a rental.

Halak is our #1, why the hell would he trade him? Let alone trade him, Stewart, a 1st and 2nd rounder and all we get back for that is Couturier.

Absolutely terrible proposal.

Multimoodia 11-01-2013 05:29 PM

Absolute robbery by Buffalo. Like walking in to a bank and escaping with $600 and a sammich level.
