I notice Sundin hasnt seen overly much action during the preseason, not that it matters as he's generally pretty consistent and his spot is assured.

More veterans in the lineup this time around.

It'd be nice to beat the Habs even if it is only the pre-season, I always look forward to games versus Montreal.

GO LEAFS :yo:

I'd sooner see a 10-0 loss with the younger players getting valuable experience and us getting a good look at their abilities then seeing our veterans win 10-0 in a meaningless game against another teams prospects the majority of whom likely won't see NHL action for a few years at best.

This could be one of those make or break games for Hedin and Colaiacovo as to whether they make the team this year or not. It'll be tough for them, they'll have to really impress to crack the lineup. It will be interesting to see how they respond.

Dam you.

Beat me to it!;)

loveshack2 09-29-2003 03:27 PM

after 1st period

Toronto 18 shots
Montreal 6 shots

Toronto is *dominating* from the sounds of it. Garon has been playing well for Montreal in net though.

Niewendyk had *7* shots in the first period and Perrott has looked good according to the announcers.

2nd period coming up.

The Leafs ARE dominating.

Interesting fact of this game: out of all Leaf body checks thrown,Perrott has over half of them!;):D

8/11 I believe.

Another stat that I really like is Nieuwendyk's 7-shots on Net.........Gotta love that.

Another interesting tidbit, supposedly a set of GM meetings begin tomorrow and most of the GM's in the league are at the game tonight.

Domi just scored. Puck lay on the goal line for along time.

Belfour was in for Toronto and Garon for Montreal.

According to the announcers it was Belak's lack of footspeed that led to the goal as he couldnt get back in time and Jackman failed to pick up the extra man. Someone who actually saw the game rather than listened it to it will be better able to describe what happened.

p.l.f. 09-29-2003 04:56 PM

goodbye belak
