Big, tough guy. PPG this year, but I wouldn't make much of it.

Prust is not 6'2" by a long shot. I doubt he's even 6'.

Runner77 11-28-2013 05:06 PM

And he's an overager.

Nice. I just love to watch that kind of 'scientific' hockey player...:sarcasm:

MXD 11-28-2013 05:11 PM

FWIW, he played a very good game in front of Trevor, Donald and Patrice in Gatineau at the beginning of the season.

gusfring 11-28-2013 05:12 PM

Not a good player. Borderline ECHL guy.

Killerguitar101* 11-28-2013 05:14 PM

Q follower here.

Jack Nevins doesn't have much talent, and he fights, and for that, he was always seen as a 4th line guy. They decided to put him on the top-6 this season because of dapartures of Josh Currie and Ben Duffy, and somwhow, he managed to play a point per game since then.

But don't let the stats fool you, this guy is NO National Hockey League talent. He will be a fringe AHL player at best, in the mould of a Devin DiDiomete.

Playing with Daniel Sprong can help a player being PPG :)

But yeah, hopefully, he can end up being a little better than Ian Schultz, but wouldn't expect much more.

He is a mean mofo. My favorite Islanders player by far. He works hard, he is a good skater, he hits everything (and really hard). He is mean but he is smart. He can play in the front of the net on the powerplay, he can play in a defensive role. He will drop the gloves against anybody and go toe-to-toe. Most of his offense comes by forechecking really hard and crashing the net. He improved a lot his shot and his patience with the puck. He learns very fast. Obviously he isn't going to be a Milan Lucic, but he has everything to become a very physical 4th liner.

Charlottetown follower here (every games)...

The Habs have him officially listed at 6.00, and I'm sure they wouldn't list one of their tough guys shorter than he actually is.

Glad to see we're signing more players so we can keep Leblanc on the bench :sarcasm:

Seriously?
I can remember them playing together when I saw them.
Granted, it was only one game.

The lines are moving a lot with Gordie Dwyer. In the past month, Sprong played with Kameron Kielly and Alexis Pépin. They only played a few games (@ Gatineau, Val D'Or and Rouyn Noranda) together with Pépin I think. Otherwise, Nevins plays in a shutdown line with Alexandre Goulet (17 yo) and Beran, Laplante, name it! I talk about the regular 5-vs-5 shifts. Like I said, the lines change a lot and there is the power play, etc.

Hey, I don't say he is a NHLer for sure, but with his learning curve and his work ethic, I wouldn't count him out.
